A friend of mine told me that Pedrosa might have already signed. My friend doesnt work for Honda Japan. Well, actually, he doesnt even have a job, but he sent me this link. So im just speculating. But in reality, what is there to speculate, does anybody really think Honda would send him somewhere else to fend for himself? Hes as good as signed. U heard it here first.

The only real silly season questions left are, who will be Pedrobots teammate, and where will VR end up.

well with the rookie rule already bent its not hard to guess who that will be

yamaha have got lorenzo and good 2nd riders in abundance lining up.

i can only see him staying at ducati or at gresini. in which case honda had 3 factory bikes, de facto everyone except bradl on one.conspiracy!!!

Poor Dani - Power Slide's favourite whipping boy. However, I must confess, the thread title and opening post did give me a chuckle.

I look at Dani like Turkish delight. Full of eastern promise. The thing is promise and delivery are 2 totally different things. The world was his oyster but he never really seemed to peak. A bit like shagging but you just cant cum.

hilarious and i agree 100%

I guess Pedro really is the only answer for Jlo at the moment, if you ask me he's the luckiest rider on the grid. Honda obviously didn't believe in him and went and picked up CS to get the job done and now that CS is retiring Honda are kissing Pedro's .... The yamaha situation is so much easier with Dovi and Cal both looking good, Dovi has plenty of GP experience and Cal looks like he's just gonna get better. Doesn't Ben have a large contract for a rider who was unproven in GP, I remember hearing something about it when he made the step up to GP, he may get ditched just to save money and I'm sure Jlo wants a teammate who can help him in the points. I think Rossi may have to stay at Duc, it seems the factories are just not that into him anymore, I would like to see him leave for Nicky to get a chance at being a #1 rider. Rossi does bring lots of money and sponsors though and maybe Duc will get the bike turned around in the next couple of years.

Agree, Honda got Casey cuz they dont believe in Pedro; and they went after Lorenzo for same reason. Now theyre actively twisting Ezys arm to get Marc up on factory seat, again, cuz they know Pedro wont ever deliver a championship. I'd like to see Pedro as teammate to Nicky at Ducati.

Because misery loves company?

I have been honored with a thread-title copy. Thank you Sir Jumkie. I still wish we coulda met up at Laguna a couple years back! Apparently I missed you by about 5 minutes.

Anyhow...Pedro is still extremely fast and extremely well-connected. Don't forget that your favorite photogenic manager is still around as well. I'm guessing that he still has a lot to do with Repsol keeping Dani around.

Phorest u have honored us with inside scoop before it hit the press. Any chance u ever returning to Laguna? I owe u a beer.

Kesh, its time Pedros true potential is revealed. Think about this for a moment. Fac Duc employs two of the best current GP riders in the world, and theyre good for 6th place plus. Its a travesty. I want to see Pedro deal with adversity fir once in his GP career. I want to hear and see the meltdown that would be surely displayed. Dude is crapping all over about tires he has podiumed on all season. Can u imagine the aneurism he'd have on a Duc? To watch Puigs face would all be worth it. But i know, just a pipe dream. ...., theyre scrapping the rookie rule for a darling spaniard, i wouldnt expect any less for another. Its one of a few things that really seriously bothers me about Stoners retirement; that he gave Pedro a new and extended lease in GP.

i call ........ on explanations that the rookie rule was also dropped in favor to the satellite teams.this is just done so that they are not in a position where honda can .... with them for not obeying

why should marquez need repsol backing for a year in a team sponsored by elf/castrol ?

bradl had to lose his major sponsor because they had to retire capirossis number but if marquez was to take a year break from his repsol sponsorship all hell breaks lose.

.... gps,i always knew that the rookie rule was stupid (to prevent yamaha from kicking out rossi or lorenzo during their prime, yeah right.) but its being dropped for all the wrong reasons.

they're both italian(and sponsored by an italian company),bautista only has a 1 year deal and gresinis honda is the only top bike on which rossi could end up to finish his gp career if he doesn't want to hang around until hes 40. furthermore its not only rossis only realistic chance of being competitive again but also a chance for honda to make ducati look bad and themselves good

but there is nothing substantial hinting towards it. still,it is the most likely scenario that he'll end up there other than him continuing with ducati in gps or maybe even wsbk in the future

Rossi said we wont find out for sure whats happening with him until around brno. i think that right now, with the tests going on with ducatis new engine this week at mugello (Rossi and Hayden dont actually get to test the engine until after the Italian Grand Prix), he's basically telling ducati that they have one last chance to get it right before he moves on. If things dont get drastically better with the new engine, i could definitely see him hoppin over to gresini.
