Satire requires the notions being put forward to be so prolific as to be ludicrous ...... or a spoof of a previous situation maybe ....


Naturally next year it will be said about whoever takes say 4th or 5th from Rossi .... but by that stage the joke will be seen as being "done to death"

Hayden = 1
Pedrosa = 0

But nonetheless I would take nothing away from either rider. Its just some of the fans interpretations of the facts that is ....... "creative"

Yes guys it was just a joke.
After being such a hot debate last year I found it odd that noone
applied the same (il)logic to Dani getting second place. After all
the circumstances are similar. It seems that getting lucky only
applies to first place.
I think it's funny that some are so jaded to absurd posts that they
couldn't see it as sarcasm.


And a well taken joke by many ..... but as with all jokes involving satire .... there will always be those who fail to see the precedent. Its the phsychological reason behind this that creates the "jaded" fan, so I doubt that they will ever "get it".

I don't think you can apply that to this year. Or even last year. The 800 was designed around Pedrosa, not Hayden. Last year Hayden had the clutch issues that Pedrosa did not have....If they were the same bike, they would have the same issues, no? I too am a Hayden fan, but more so a fan of racing. I really wish all the factory bikes were equal and we could honestly see who was the better rider of the factory riders.

Although i did overlook the difference in the bikes last year (thanks for the correction) i think that only stands to balance out the so called advantage that Dani has had this year. I am confident the opertunities have been equal.

As for the same bike having the same issues, i'll say no. The clutch issues Hayden suffered where a result of his riding style, and a smooth rider like Dani would almost certainly not have suffered (he even had the troubled clutch is his bike).

Actually Pedrosa has won 2 more championships in MotoGP then Hayden, but how many years exactly has Nicky been on a Repsol for? I've lost count. This was only Dani's second season in the class and Honda really screwed up this year.

thats becuase Nicky rides his honda as if it were a tractor. Even this year, he is only guy who blew a honda engine.. When is the last time Honda even blew and engine? Honda has got 7 bikes and the grid and Nicky's the only one who has problems with his bike.

Honda was bending over backwards to accomodate his needs in 2006, which is why they did not have enough resources to develop the 800cc bike which ended up being so crappy at the beginning of the year.
