Pedrosa Doesn't Deserve 2nd Place

i almost made the same bad - i'm too lazy to read what everyone else writes normally - besides, my opinion is the only one that really counts

Hey great thread there knockdown!

Satire is something that must be practiced only in the US and UK.For those of us that see it all the time,its obvious even on a computer screen.Its like the post where someone was coming unglued about an Mamola article.It was so obvious,yet some saw it as a serious article bashing Rossi.I guess some people are just edgy emotionally and take everything as a personal affront.

The reason no one got it (even some of our UK fans) is because it isn't funny or witty. Not to knock knockdown, but thats why it came across as a 'sour' post.

Do we know he's not being serious?

No I guess not !! .... but I must admit it seemed such a ludicrous proposition I assumed it had to be satire.

I think there are memorable postitions aside from the winner (who is obviously the most important). I consider all of the top 5 placings to be significant in a season.

If this thread shows us 'oldies' one thing it's that there are many 'newbies' here who didn't see all the grief Nicky Hayden got last year.

People complain about australians bashing Rossi all the time on this forum but i'd say the Pedrosa bashing yanks are just as laughable. Pedrosa was second best this year, good job by him.

I took the joke as more of making fun of Rossi and his fans than Pedrosa.

well im new, and i read the grief he got as well as heard it from all the hayden bashers first hand. and remember sarcasm is the hardest thing to read. lol.

i personally thought dani didnt do too bad, and im not a fan of the little fella.

Nicky was consistant and won the champ so what who cares its in the past now.

Dani only really got going at the end of the season, he was not consistant throughout.

Rossi's engine doesn't break and he surely gets 2nd... thats how close it was.

I don't think any of the other riders were consistent mainly becuase the manufacturers were making so many "improvements" to catch up with Ducati/Bridgestones. This is was the year of the tire. They should just hand the championship to Bridgestone and be done with it.

As for Pedrosa, I remember Rossi stating at the beginning of the season, that he saw Pedrosa as his biggest threat. However, the crappy Honda package and Michelins did not allow him to be competitive. Sure enough, as feared by Rossi, Pedrosa ended up beating him in points.
