That reminds me: during the early 80s, when coke dealers were prevalent in IMSA sports car racing, the infamous Whittington brothers owned Road Atlanta. Dale Whittington was an ace pilot; there is a legend that he used Road Atlanta's back strait to land small planes carrying contraban.

The downforce-producing appendages would handicap an F1 car on the straits. Bikes are probably much more slippery, even with the new F1 regs.
Didn't Nicky's RC211V out-accelerate the 2006 Honda F1 car from zero to 100?
If thats the video ive seen it was on fifth gear (a car programme) and it wasnt an RC211V but Micheal Rutters BSB fireblade (bascially a tuned roadbike against a proper full on prototype car)Theres videos of it on youtube racing the Honda F1 car along with a Honda powerboat.Surely the (990) RCV would do better and maybe even beat the F1 car?
2006 Fireblade BSB about 200/210 BHp and 165kg so what 250kg with rider and a drop of fuel?
Motogp Rc211V about 230 Bhp and 145kg and maybe 230kg with rider and a drop of fuel?
F1 in 2006 where about what 900BHP and 600/700KG with driver?
hmm
ps i have no idea what most riders weigh in kilos so feel free to correct me
