Also the Tamada disqualification that you speak of was done and dusted within an hour of the race being finished. Sure, he did get to drink some champagne on the podium that day, but as I was leaving the course I heard on the radio that he'd been disqualified...
well mabe race control learned there lession not to rush because they got that wrong because they didnt get all the facts straight.
for the record tho, i dont think alias has quite done enough to warrent a punishment but complaints have been made and not just by rossi so i dare say a few eyebrows have been raised. my advice to him is race hard but brain out racing has no place at this level so watch it.

To my knowledge, this is the first time it appeared here at MotoGP Forum. It seems like Tinks saw something on TV coverage. Perhaps Tinks might be able to give more detail and/or the source...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tinks @ Apr 22 2007, 10:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>oooh rossi looked welll mad with elias in the garage as he described the overtaking manouvre!

Wait: I typed "Rossi complains about Elias at Istanbul" and then "Rossi says Elias dangerous" into Google and got links to a lot of forums discussing the comments, and many other sights reporting the comments.

Then I came across some articles on autosport.com. They include direct quotes from Rossi, and Brivio getting hot under the collar too...

The interesting thing about the second article is that Brivio "called for Race Control to look into it" but seems to have stopped short of actually protesting.

thanks for the links rs.
in the first link the jurno says "Valentino Rossi was heavily critical of Toni Elias after they made contact early in the Turkish Grand Prix".
but then when you read the comments there hardly that heavly critical after all. this is why i dont read newspapers,i would rather watch the person saying it then read some jurnos bias oppinion. you can say all sorts but with out seeing the body language can you really be sure of the iintent. just a pitty i cant also see this footage tinks saw so i hold my jjudgement on that.

1. Of course we all would rather "see" them, but usually us mortals have to read about it.

2. Hahahahahaha, you are so trying not to believe what is in front of you. Read the article where they quote Rossi's comments about the race again, I think you are reading the wrong version, oh, and remove those Rossi colored glasses to aid in comprehension.

you of all people jumkie supprise me,you would have me believe that you believe all you read.
not me mate,i would rather here it from the horses mouth myself. i read motorsport jurno .... for years and it aint always right or fair, its just another persons oppinion.

"motorsport is already dangrous" so sticking the local loony on a bike who will ride .... or bust regardless of who else he involves is hardly a taking your life into your own hands.

Well if that's the case Rog I'm sure all riders not just Rossi will protest about his behaviour and therefore are taking their own life into their own hands by not protesting about it.

Now as a fairly unbiased bystander

I don't see anything in what Elias did on both well bashed out occasions that any other rider on the grid hasn't at some point in their career done before. In my opinion the Turkey pass was made more of by Rossi at the time of the pass, to me it looked like he was forcing the issue when Elias was already going past him I personally think that Rossi should just hold his hand up and admit that he made it look worse than it was, but that was me and I had had a couple of beers on second time of watching it.

So in response Rog taking your life into your own hands, they have by not protesting and if they did then I don't think anything would come of it unless they decide to wrap riders up in cotton wool.

Local Loony though that made me proper laugh mate

We also have a thread about Elias, and his "habit" of crashing into people.

I think we should take the "he's an exciting racer" blinkers off, the guy is a loose cannon. Before anyone says, I dont take this view coz he came together with Rossi last time out. He seems to have hit other riders on more than a few occasions.

I know its bike racing, not flower arranging and people get hurt, but how "entertaining and exciting" would he be if he put himself or somebody else in a wheelchair or worse.

We cant be condoning loose riding and then sending condolences to racers who have lost their lives. It's hypocritical.

Pathetic post. People died because they were riding at high speed. So lets forbid motorsport than just for respect for those who died.

Its not about banning motorsport, its about thinking about things. You would have learned that if you read the whole thing. Maybe some of the words are too big for you,.

You think the post is pathetic? Well its probably coz you dont understand what I'm saying, plenty of other folk can get the idea, and I ve explained it plenty. If you dont like it dont read it.
