I believe that. It may have been a blessing in disguise for Spies. He looked at Mat and told himself, that's who I don't want to be.

I believe it, too. Remember what Mat said about himself? Something about his love of mean-spirited mind games but his devotion to integrity prohibits him from screwing people over with a smile on his face.

Exactly! I do understand Mladin though. As a competitor in many different sports, i have seen all the different personalities and what motivates them. A lot of competitrors use hate for the competition as motivation, its how they get up for the game. Whatever it takes.

I think Spies' interview deserved its own thread, but it seems everybody on this thread are the only ones that give a .... about WSBK.

Spies is basically saying that having Mladin as a fierce competitor was a sort of training ground to deal with pressure and up his game. In addition to this primary point, he as well as the interviewer remind us that Mladin is a ..... This wasn't a dig at Mladin but actually came off as giving him props for his fierce competitive nature. got a little excited. sorry

Fabrizio will be win or gravel but who does he take out if its gravel,
i see ducati have bayliss there for support.or will he ride as 41..

If practice times mean anything, Rhea and Spies were the 2 that stood out on race tires. Yhey both ran in the mid to low 149's on a lap by lap basis and Rhea actually did one high 148.

Didn't see the lap by lap analysis so thanks Pov. Good to see that Spies and Rea have the race pace. Should be fun watching those two go toe to toe, and it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to see Fab and Haga join in. I'm really excited to see what Simoncelli can do in race two.
