Nicky gets new Engine for Donny!

HRC, the spear head of Honda want's to display an american "looser" on an unreliable bike. Nice marketing for sure, and the next step surly would be to sabotage pedrosas bike so he looses any chance in the championship, or maybe that was Repsol's part?
<

you obviously didn't get the meaning of what I was saying. If HOnda wants a spanish champ due to Reposl then Nicky is a sore spot since he will not be second fiddle. There are ways of making people disappear like it was not hondas fault and that they tried everything. I like hayden and I hope he is on the Ducati for 09 and hands that little ... pedrosa his ... right back to him.

Hayden´s pneumatic valve gamble pays off on first day run

Quote:

`It´s more fun being up towards the front, and the fact that instead of guys getting away on the straight we can stick with them. It hits harder and it´s a little more aggressive, but I kind of like that! It´s not easier to ride, but I don´t need something easier, I need something faster.´

Hopefully we will hear more from him about the engines performance. Wishing him the best of luck in the qualifiers and race day.

I wonder if Pedrosa is being told to sand bag it.

You know, to make Honda's new toy look nice and to get Rossi to let his guard down a little bit.

Honda order Hayden around all the time, I'm sure it's a two way street. I am certain Pedrosa will show up for qualy and the race.........if it's not raining.

I though that this part was interesting

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>There´s certainly a bit of work to be done; I´ve been wanting to use this engine for a while and they´ve told me that I need to be in the top three or four to use it, so it was a good feeling to able to do that,´ said the 2006 MotoGP World Champion, the only Honda rider using the engine this weekend.

Ducati have made it known that Hayden is a rider of interest for MotoGP in 2009.

“It’s a good feeling that the championship winning maker (Ducati) is talking about me,” Hayden said. “I talked to Honda and if things keep going the way they are let’s be real, it’s not going to work with them."

I agree, if the Honda bosses were really saying it like that, what were they implying? "We will give it to you but you have to get a podium, else we will ground you and take away your allowance?". But seriously, I guess they were saying, you can use it during qualification but if you aren't in the top 4 then it's back to the spring engine?

Like a lot of people, I have mixed feelings about seeing Hayden in "Red". I would be worried he would go the way of Marco and have a season of hell. I'm totally ....... serious, give the seat to De Puniet, Ducati can turn the crash master into a front runner (they did it with Casey).

What if it was Casey's dirt track background that made it gell? Still though I see your point with RDP, but I would rather see him in Guinters spot.

I also have mixed feelings. I'm nervous about Hayden moving to Ducati b/c 2 riders have already bit the dust on that team (maybe premature to say Melandri has?). Data suggests you can't ride the bike without loads of rear brake, but it seems like it will take a bit more than that to get the Ducati working properly.

I think Hayden can do it, if the Italian team will work with his problem-solving nature. They seem eager to find SOMEONE else who can ride the thing--an ex-world champ would be nice for Duc, I'm sure.

I don't think he will win the race, although it is nice to see he has finally been given the opportunity to make an attempt.

With HRC treating him the way they have been, I just don't think there is any chance for Hayden to ride at his full potential until he is on another team.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Honestly I've got to thank HRC. I told them that I really wanted to use the pneumatic-valve engine here, so they worked some on the electronics and the guys said I could use it, so long as I was going to be in the top three or four!" smiled Nicky.

...but overall the bike is working good, so thanks to HRC and the team for delivering. The engine is pretty aggressive, but I like to go somewhere when I open the throttle, I like something to happen.

Hayden seems to be more grateful to HRC than his fans here.

HRC feels the bike is not ready. Nicky wants it and he got it. I see HRC's request for him to finish on the podium so that the development team will not have answer to their bosses.

I don't think the wet qualifying session tomorrow will benefit him at all. Hopefully for Nicky, he got some reasonable settings in the dry today for Sunday, which I think will also be dry for the race.

??

I mean Australians are far better riders .....

2007 Motogp WC ....... Australian....
2008 AMA SX ............ Australian ....
AMA superbike thing ..... Australian ....

and Stoner is Austalian and has won more National titles in .... Australia! ( thats right the pinnacle of bike riding! not the US !) ..... on dirt .... than Nicky!

Sure they were minibike titles ....... but hell any Australian on a minibike can beat an American
<

Apparently you guys are running Nicky on a minibike in motogp ...... I think to disprove that Australians are better on bikes thing ........ and hows that going for you?

Hey Guys, did anybody read this. Read from a different forum

Link

"For the first time in a race situation, Hayden was riding with the pneumatic valve engine, which test rider Tady Okada raced at Catalunya two weeks ago. Hayden also had a new chassis, which was similar to the one that teammate Dani Pedrosa had been using recently. Hayden didn’t know how long he’d had it.

When Hayden asked to ride the new machine, he was told there was no going back. And he was certain he’d made the right choice at the end of the day. "

No wonder Vale told that Honda are Batsards!!!!

I know 99% of everything you say is simply ........ trolling, but at least get your facts straight:

AMA champ is Spies, American.
Oh, and that SX title, a gift from Bubba Stewart. Reed is nowhere when Stewart is on the track and always played third fiddle when Carmichael was running.

Oh you're back? Same old .... from you, eh. Still having difficulty filtering meaning I see. Did you just crawl out of a cave? He's been wanting that thing for a while, now that he gets it at the half of the season, while the rest of the world has had it since last year, a small thank you doesn't mean it came timely (feel free to mix in a dictionary). Oh, I know its a waste, I'm just saying this for other reasonable readers, not you. What was he suppose to say, .... you for letting me try this after my season is already down the drain? How old are you, six?

I've been thinking about this idea, and it not that far fetched. Crashy made it work, why not another crasher.

Speis is better than Mladin, he beat him fair and square in the past two years. Reed well if Bubba stays home then he comes out of his hole to ride then you still have to deal with Kevin Windam.
