Mugello - Rnd 6 2015 - SPOILERS (Predictions, FP, QP & Race)

It may not be easy for anybody.
It may not be easy for Lorenzo to enter the San Donato first after the start, gain 2 tenths in the second sector, and take off.
It may not be easy for the Yamahas to avoid being passed at the end of the long straight.
It may not be easy for the Ducatis to make the tires last the entire race.
It may not be easy for Iannone to forget his shoulder.
It may not be easy for Marquez to keep cool and avoid bumping into other riders, while trying to cut thorugh the field.
It may not be easy for Rossi to start from 8th again, and fight for the win.

The race may not be easy. Breathtaking insight.

MurderMac torpedoes Cuntslow (or vise versa).

Well....that was a mix of boring with short bursts of interesting....

1) JLo - Excellent and very boring...
2) Iannone - Great Job shame you didnt fight to the end of the win
3) Rossi - thinking of title clearly, but must sort out qualifying
4) Dani - Only one that can really ride the Honda
5) Smith - Beat his factory teammate again and again...
6) P.Eparagus - that new factory contract must be going away by now....
7) Vinales - Brilliant ride....once the suzuki is faster you will be on the podium
8) Pirro - Great guest ride...
9) Petrux - Lucky not to have been penalized..
10) Yonny - Need to the 2015 machine..
11) Redding - Very very disappointing...

...) Laverty - Top OPEN Honda... grand job...

...) Dovi - WU fall destroyed you, and your championship shot
...) MM - Title shot is over...unless Honda can fix your problem via electronics by July 1
...) Cal - WTF happened this time....?
...) Heydone - Think of it this way...you are one race closer to retiring....

Dovi - 4, Cal - 1

I respect your opinion....and I think he maybe will not win the race but will be among top four...anyway tomorrow will be an amazing race because all of them are very close.

Maniac Joe proved me very wrong...he must be in a huge amount of pain now though.....

I was impressed with Pedro. One of the few times i was cheering for him.

MurderMac & Cuntslow didn't need to torpedo eachother (though they got close at turn 1). But the result was the same, haha.

My ride of the day: Crazy Joe!
We saw a glimpse of what he could to against MurderMac at Le Mann. And this time the battle with MurderMac forced an error. I said it a couple years ago, Crazy Joe is the only one fearless enough to go toe to toe with MurderMac. And this on a handicapped GP15 and bum shoulder.

Circumstance works in Rossi's favor again as Marquez clearly doesn't have the bike he needs and crashes out of the battle for 2nd. Now if only Lorenzo will start having problems...

After all the belly-aching from the Rossi fans after the 2006 season, wouldn't it be hilarious if The Doctor Nicky-Haydened his way to a title? I kind of hope he does it.

The Maniac - awesome. Especially carrying a knock
Redding - disappointing
Barbera - nearly the best open class
MurderMarq - ride of the day

I was impressed by Pedrosa. He totally deserves to be on a factory bike. He's been out how long and he's still among the top 5! Iannone is just becoming more and more awesome. His fight and will power is absolutely resilient. Overall very interesting race. JLo was smooth as butter again.

Stoked about this championship!

Oh and I haven't looked on motogp yet but what happened with Dovi?

Rear tire chatter issues supposedly.

Edit: Never mind. http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/219451/1/broken-sprocket-ends-disastrous-sunday-for-dovizioso.html

They asked, "I wonder what'll be going through Lorenzo's head after he sees Marquez +0 on his pit board"? Apparently the answer was AAAHHHHAHAHAHA! Lorenzo saw that as his cue to pull a 1 second advantage in 2 laps. And that was the last time anyone saw him. What can you say, other then he's got it all going on right now? Tires are working for him, bike setup is hot, and he's riding with confidence. Great performance by AI as well, scrapping all race long and holding off Rossi.

Anybody else think Rossi was a little gun shy coming into turn one? Granted he was in heavy traffic and got stood up. However, where Rossi seemed concerned with keeping some cushion around him (and possibly spooked by a weaving MM), you see Marquez literally take whatever real estate he wanted to improve his position. Marc almost .... whipped Pedrosa in the process, but pulled it together to go from 13th to 4th in rapid fashion. Just an interesting contrast in mind-set and riding style I thought.

Right now it looks inevitable that Lorenzo will take the Championship. Things have a way of changing rather quickly as we all know, but I said it before and i'll say it again; this looks like Lorenzo 2010. He's like a programmed racing robot. He's so smooth and concise, and so fast. Rossi looks like he's minimizing risks to hold onto the points lead, but that margin is evaporating fast. In boxing, a fighter sometimes puts himself in harm's way to get the knockout (Mayweather notwithstanding). If Rossi finds himself in 2nd place in the points standing, will he up his risk quotient? Marquez has clearly engaged Bin It or Win It Mode. I don't like him but respect that he'll throw caution to the wind to try and make up for a speed disadvantage. At 36, will Rossi stick his chin out and go for the knockout?

Marquez is killing himself. The Honda is apparently down on power this year and he's pushing his skills to the brink.

That he is. Though they say it's not a lack of power. The power is too abundant and brutal from what I read. The Yamaha and even more so the Suzuki are the ones down on outright power.

The Honda is down on power? Hahahaha oh-kay.

Make no mistake, this is VR's title to lose. Jlo is putting in a Herculean effort, it will take its toll. The RCV is still the best overall package. MurderMac's '.... everyone else on the track' attitude is catching up to him a bit. But its not new, simply got away with it last few years. Do u remember his "fastest crash in the universe" (according to Kropo) crash? Well in a normal world MurderMac should have broke at very least a fingernail. But when nothing happens to u, well u really begin to believe you're indestructible. Not the least when u have all the "adults" in the room blowing air up your .... Turns out you can barge your way up the field seemingly out of control, again mere luck nobody is was torpedoed (though im sure its still fresh in Pedro's mind that front-wheel enima at Motorland Aragon). So hey lets push this hard front tire more, hell if the laws of racing reasonably safely dont apply, then the laws of physics dont apply either.

MurderMac is going through a bad spell. However, tires have dictated titles for a while now with little exception. This year's tire options have proven as ever they have impact on the field of play. I fully expect VR 2015 chimp.

They've changed their mind now, rear sprocket chewed itself up.

MotoGP News - MotoGP Italy: Broken sprocket ends disastrous day for Dovizioso

I wonder if his WU fall contributed to this. All it takes is a bit of gravel/dirt on the chain or something and it wouldn't take long to chew a gear up.

I'm a JLo fan, but even his detractors have to admit he made everyone else look like they were riding open class bikes yesterday. Boring maybe, but a masterclass in how to totally dominate a MotoGP weekend.

Good post Jums. Can you elaborate on what way you think JLo's current pace will "Take it's toll"?

Marc is having a bad season, it was going to happen sooner or later but I agree with you regarding the adults blowing air up his ... (the same is happening with Max Verstappen in F1) and I think he is finally realising that it doesn't go your own way all the time.

VR for 2015? I hope it's Lorenzo personally! Any news on Nicky? he seemed to be holding his (already ......) wrist after his turn 4 shunt. And regardless of what some people think of Crutchlow, I'm just glad he isn't badly hurt.

Jum, I enjoy your posts as well and am also looking for more details.

I'm hoping it's Rossi, but think it will be JL when it's all said and done. The VR @ 36 story would be amazing and great for the sport, but i don't see it. I know there are some tracks coming up where the hard tire is the tire of choice which seems to favor VR. Is that the basis of your prediction, or what else?
