We're only 1/4 way through season ladies.. anything can happen.

But its the best chance Pedro's had since that air fence nap he took in Germany

Bradley Smith will be telling us he is next in line for factory support.

He will base this on his results from 4 years ago. :)

So, 3 years in a row horrible luck for Lorenzo. Simoncelli took out Lorenzo in 2011, Spies went on to annihilate the competition with the Yamaha. In 2012 Alvaro Bautista punted him off in turn one. He should've just stayed at home.

Fcuk off! Simmo had his own fall and Jorge went into a rider down!

Simmo took no one out!

First thought..FFFFFUUUUUUCCCCKKKK!  After calming down I still havent lost faith but it may be a big ask for the Hondas to have a .... weekend....Cal for the win?

To be fair Red, Simmo did take Lorenzo out, just not in a bowling ball type of way but by having his own accident where the second rider was just wrong place wrong time (ie. just a consequence .............. .... happens type of moment)

Major bummer for Jorge. Pedro's title to lose now. Of course his team mate may still make it tough for him.

Not so sure Frizz .

Could this be the moment where the phoenix rises?

Could all resources now be shifted?

Time will tell as until the full extent is known we simply do not know if it will be 1 race or 3 but if only the one race then it is not a 'massive' loss of points, but it may well be if the injury greatly inhibits his performances in races subsequent to his return.

That all said though, I cannot see Pedro having it all his own way as Marquez will rock the boat a little, Rossi will absolutely be the cat amongst the pigeons and Crutchlow is in a situation of riding for glory and could well upset the apples in the cart.

We must also always remember that Lorenzo is one tough MF as we cannot overlook the injuries he suffered with his repeated moon landings in his first year in MGP, even riding with fractured ankles etc, all still whilst being quite competitive. All is not lost for Lorenzo yet

If he didnt pedrosa his collar bone he will be back next race. All is not lost. He will not quit and take a 6 week vacation like Stoner did last year.

Jorge is the definition of mettle. Every rider has at least 1 dnf a year. Assenhole is his.

In the meantime Go Marky!!

All is definitely not lost for Lorenzo. Missing one weekend doesn't ruin a Championship, it really depends on how quick he can get back and on the pace. The next two rounds will be tough, but even Jorge at 50% will probably come 3rd or 4th.

The pressure is on for Pedrosa here. Does he push to take maximum points out of Lorenzo while he is hurt and risk ending up in the same boat? Or does he play it safe and let Marquez bring himself right back into the picture?

Im guessing Lorenzo will lose around 50 points to the lead  over the next 3 races before he is healthy enough to start taking back points.

Clearly - you've never suffered a broken collar bone. I've broken both of mine and believe me - no matter how healthy Lorenzo is - he won't be back and racing in winning fashion after missing only one race.

Clearly - you and I wouldn't be back to winning. But I tend not to compare myself to Lorenzo.

He might not be back to winning, but if he comes back and grabs some points he can remain a title contender. I think he'll be on the podium at Laguna on 21st July.

Damn, that's a heavy fall for Lorenzo.

I don't think we'll see him on track again till Indy.

Give Cal the Factory bike till then.

Hey can you make a GIF of Yonny Hernandez passing valentino Rossi starting at about 24 minutes 50 seconds

I see you have cursed poor JLo with that recent mancrush you have on him. Que shrieking schoolgirl voice "Oh JLo your so brave and strong and highly concentrated."

JLo said he rode that same corner at the same speed on the previous 7 laps without drama. But then, inexplicably, he lost concentration. Conditions changed, the rain worsened, the puddles pooled, and JLo forgot to stick his hand up to signal the race must be stopped.

He hit the earthquake induced bump and the bike tankslapped unexpectedly, violently. Oh wait, that wasnt it.

No, he was filled with false bravado after knockdowns high praise, but alas he has now decended into mental weakness, scared by the pressure Marquez was pooring over him. JLo knows he can only win races from the front with the aid of electronics, he lacks the strength to fight hand to hand combat.

Now the great Rossi will be unleashed and rise to his full intimidating height and stomp all over these little midgets pedro and marquez and claim his rightful place on the thrown, no 10 for the king.

Can Pedro capitalise on this, all the cards are falling his way. I think there will be yet more twists and turns. Marquez for the win over a now overly cautious Pedro.

I expect unspoken team orders at HRC. Its obvious they have been talked into keeping Pedro for whatever reason. Finally they can now save face. Pedro 'we kept him until the depleted parity made it a 50/50 chance' WC.

So by that logic HRC will not be renewing his contract, but he has a contract....so he will be given a .... bike in 2014, then to have to leave HRC in 2015 to go join Ducati (or Suzuki)....

If Dani wins the title it will make him champion and history will remember him as a champion.....no matter what any of us here think of his 'tainted title' (or like other lucky tainted title winners).

Lets hope JLo recovers quickly, and is able to fight back for the top spot...

Apparently, based upon keen armchair observation of the Catalan GP, due to his failure to pass Dani - it's been established he's already under team orders
