Great victory by VR, The Old Fart.
Anyway, as a race it was another typical 800 race, boring. Rossi edging away with a tenth or two on every lap, all very status quo after the first few laps, and a few laps later 2nd and 3rd were setteled. To bad Capirossi didn't manage to stay in the front group, that would have been entertaining. I still wonder what it will take to turn this series viewer firendly again.

Personally Rog, I'm just laughing smugly to myself at all the "Rossi is past it" "He was always overated" "He has never had any competition" "Rossi fans are all fanboy bandwagon jumpers" ..... that has been on here for the last while. Although I will make one concession to the Rossi haters, you were right on one thing, he had no competition today.


Even funnier considering all the "Capirossi is past it and was never very good anyway" and "Lorenzo will struggle in Motogp" posts from a lot of the same folks.


Funny how we seem to have lost some posters recently........

Oh yeah, and well done to The Doctor today. Numbers don't lie.

Valentino's late braking into San Donato was unbelievable. Casey thought he'd give it a try as well...not as easy as it looks. I have never seen Rossi ride this track so seamlessly. Bike and rider look so settled again. Bad news for a close championship.

Despite his set up woes, Jorge was on for another rostrum today ...silly boy.

I think Marco probably feels indebted to RDP - I sensed he was probably quite relieved to have been taken out of his misery. Fausto, throw the kid a line, he's too talented to go under/get washed up at this stage in his career. I'm sure Shinya will settle quickly in the WSB paddock.
