Funny to see the boppers out in force!!! Stoner is completely lost and struggling just to stay on the thing.....while his rivals are 20seconds ahead!

New track but results similar....

Pedders

Dovi

Jorge

Spies

Colin

Stoner

Hayden

Only Casey has some previous experience on this track but having said that new track layout is fair bit different to old one apart from one or two sections.

1) Perdrosa

2) Casey

3) Lorenzo

4) Spies

5) Dovi

6) Hayden

Colin also has experience, (2002 WSB two 2nd places). But realistically it was so long ago for them both (and with track changes mentioned its got to be as good as a new track to them both).

1) Lorenzo

2) Dovi

3) Pedrosa

4) Hayden

5) Edwards

6) Stoner

I seem to find a lot of agreement with you.

Except I don't think Stoner will win, not convinced the Duc. is now capable, even in Stoner's hands.

And I have absolutely no idea who will win. Thats the beauty of this whole new track thing.

I am keen on the prospect that we could see Spies come to the fore.
<

And though I am perhaps his only fan on here, Pedrosa may be up there.

And then you gave a simple no to my Spies question. That appears to be an expectation right there. I think that with the even slate at Silverstone that he will take top 5. I mean the circuits he has been to already, they have been there more. And most of them on the bike they are on now. I think he down plays his ability to set the bike up, or he has the ability to ride it fast even when the set-up is not that good. I mean .... happens he could struggle, racing is a crap shoot like that, but at a new circuit I expect the cream to rise to the top, Rider talent wise over bike.

Stoner seems to be the only MotoGP rider who has already raced at Silverstone; it was the old layout though, and there are only three corners left as they were in this new one.

The track is very fast and flowing, could be a good Ducati track.

+2 for a Casey win.
<

Rossi's M1 in Tech 3 skins and Spies ftw
<
<

If not Spies or Nick or Colin or Capi i hope Stoner wins.. He needs a pick-me-up.. As long as the Spaniards are off the boxes i'm good

Anything's possible. Lorenzo sure as hell gave Rossi enough grief in his rookie year. But the Tek .... bike

isn't quite up to the same bar as the Fiat bike. And while the track is essentially new to everybody - the main

contenders still have ....-loads more MGP experience. Moreover they have a better knowledge of each other's

strengths and weaknesses. I'd be mightily impressed if Spies got on the podium. Even that's a lot to ask. And if he did make the podium - it'd mean even more pressure to produce during the rest of the season. Spies has said time and again that the learning curve is steeper in MGP and I think he'd be very happy with another 4th. The one that really needs to get his ... up on the podium is Nicky.

Couldn't agree more with all of it.

1 Jorge

2 Dani

3 Nicky

l'm sure l read somewhere that Colin Edwards has raced at Silverstone in the past.

1. stoner

2. lorenzo

3. pedrosa

4. dovi

5. hayden

My predictions too.Almost..

1.Stoner - finally get forks working with fronttire.(I hope)

2.Lorenzo - feels preasure and distraction. He is faster than Pedrosa in general. In Mugello he was playing it veeery safe.

3.Pedrosa -will be overtaken, and that's it.If he doesn't lead start to finish he won't win.

4.Hayden -Beats Spies and Dovi in a close fight.

5.Spies

6.Dovi

Anders i wanted to put both hayden & spies in for podiums but i'm not into those from the heart pridics..... plus everytime i figure them for a good finish they have problems..... so i just expect the least & hope for the best!

Q. Do you think the fact that you were beating Valentino this year had an effect on him and maybe played a part in his crash?

Jorge Lorenzo: I don't know what was happening his mind. Maybe he had some pressure at Mugello, because it is his home GP. Maybe he was thinking he must win there, I don't know.

He has lost a championship against [Nicky] Hayden, but the championship was very strange and in the end he crashed in the last race. When he lost with Casey [Stoner], Casey had a better bike and better tyres. The situation this year was a little different because he has a partner with the same bike and he lost two races.

It was not so much, because we were only in the third race and there were still 15 races more. But for him to lose two races in a row, maybe he had extra pressure. I can't say this is why he crashed, because I don't know.

It looks like that Jorge is Rossi bopper as well

Anyone knows why the 125 are running last?

Anything aside from TV schedule conflicts?

Not too sure, but they did it at Donington a few times too. I remember they changed it in 06 and I'm sure someone told me it was cos of the traffic problems in 05. The TV thing might be more likely though.

TV ?

Dont think anything clash's as such on TV this weekend (BBC)

no golf Wimbledon F1 etc only the world cup but it would be better running it the normal 125,moto2,motogp way

unless its to do with time zones and there TV Schedules Europe - rest of the world etc
