I wonder why everybody's prediction go something like this:

Factory Honda
Factory Yamaha

or

Factory Yamaha
Factory Honda

Anyway, just finished watching the pre-event press conference. Just about every time I see it this year I have similar thoughts: Marc, seems like a nice likeable kid with decent answers, big smile like seemingly unawares, Rossi's answers are more humble and cognizant, Lorenzo also excellent presence of mind but always looks like he is being a bit sarcastic, and the questions asked by reports are usually fairly lame, but usually a few insightful inquiries. Today, they had HRCs Suppo and Yamahas Jarvis to field questions. Noteworthy today were questions about the semen transmission and questions to Jarvis about Crutchlow. Jarvis said that the cost of the semen box was extremely expensive but that Honda had raised the stakes. Also that the semen transmission would not require breaking seal on a virgin engine, as it slipped into the existing slaught nicely. Also, when asked about how he felt about letting go of Crutchlow, his answer had me rolling. He said Crutchlow left Yamaha not the other way around. Ah of course, I mean, I can already imagine the offer Cal turned down. Uhm Cal, we really really ....really want you to stay, so...we are willing to let you stay, thing is we can only pay you 35 Zimbabwean dollars. Is that ok?

Also, the stellar question of the press conference once again goes to Kropo. Who asked the entire panel the following: 'A question for all of you, Hailwood or Agostini?' The panel consisting of two Italian and two Spanish riders, looming in the background 'Aperol' the Italian sponsor, the riders dug deep to answer, despite their youth (admitted to having dinner with Ago), poised to race in Italy (technically San Marino...I suppose), given Hailwood is no longer with us where as Ago is probably sitting in the audience, again this being a race in Italy and all...the answer was probably not immediately predictable. Alas, they all said: Agostini. Brilliant.

Edit: oops, actually Lorenzo said neither, who stated Valentino was the greatest!

Krops, given you have sussed out the fact there are no gays in the series; I have a question request (actually, I asked it a couple of weeks ago, when I kindly requested you to inquire who was the walrus looking limp .... .......... at Ducati who reprimanded Nicky for racing Dovi aggressively, an answer to which I’m still hoping to get). On a related note, we seem to have a tiny nuclear debate going on regarding Marquez, so perhaps you can settle it. Can you asked the sweet smiling lad if somebody has ever coached, spoken to, offered friendly advice, etc. prior to the CatalanGP? Anything will suffice for me, as I would like to know if anybody has mentioned to him to be mindful when riding in the big boy class, given the high profile nature of being teammates at HRC ( any kind of word from formal or informally, regardless of degree, even if its just a word of caution, slight or otherwise, friendly coaching, friendly advice, magnitude is of no consequence, I just want to know if it has happened). Thanks. Keep up the good work.

I thought the best question was regarding how they felt about Casey saying that he would like bikes with more power and less electronics. And also the about how they feel about riding automatic MotoGP bikes vs Shifting manually.

300hp CRAZY! (from Jorge's mouth)

Pramac Ducati told MCN this morning in Misano that Ben Spies is highly unlikely to race again in 2013.

Krop, you don't need to ask that question at all. With said words of caution resounding in his helmet and coursing through his head during the race, It was clearly evidenced (for even those with a cursory interest or fragmentory knowledge of racing) that his inability to pass Dani owed to the fact that he 'slightly held back'

I do not think they will risk having him in the team next year, he has cost them a fortune this year with nothing to show for it.

Ben does have a 2 year deal with Ducati....so they'd have to buy him out, or offer him something equally good....like a spot on their Ducati WSBK factory team or AMA/BSB teams....

....then again it might just be cheaper to buy him out the contract, hire some other rider.....I hear Hayden still does not have a job for next year....how about him for the Pramac team? ;)

There seems to be some optimism about the Yamaha seamless gearbox. I'm wondering to what degree any potential advantage may be balanced by teething problems. I'm sure it has many, many, digital configuration parameters that the team may not be fully on top of yet. Over and above the possibility of technical failure.

Here's a challenge for you. Try making a post without making any mention of Hayden/Hodor or your general disdain for American riders.

Tip. Why not practice in a word document beforehand, because it's a going to take some time to get it right. It is after all a six year habit that we're in the process of challenging here.

Further tip: In the meantime just continue to post your top ten race finish predictions - that should do the job nicely.

Sure thing....

As long as Others stop posting about Pedrosa or Rossi or Other Non-Americans being unworthy of their seats....Or that there exists a conspiracy to only have Spanish riders on good seats in GPs.....

Deal? :)

Wouldn't the forum be damaged if 90% of the posts currently being made, weren't.

Not at all...it would certainly decrease the 'broken record' syndrome the forum seems to be suffering from at the moment... :)

At this point, I don't know which would be best - i.e for Spies to ride average to ...... 2-3 races (let it be he's not crashing again)  or to just it call it a year and move on to something else.

Cal a second off the pace, disappointing  but Aleix  only half a second off on the art, impressive.

Haha VR faster than JL, didn't expect that especially with new new box, I thought it would really spur JL on to Honda pace.... Sure he will back infront soon mind
