If the point you're attempting to make is JL is tougher competition than Biaggi, I would agree. However, Rossi didn't always have an easy time getting the best of Biaggi so don't bother cherry picking the specific races where he did.

While he didn't always get the best of him, he more often than not did.

There wasn't anything to cherry pick.

You said I was daydreaming, and I proved that you were wrong with facts.

Not my fault you don't like it.

As I always say...the easiest way to piss off a Rossi bopper is to use facts.

There, fixed it for you.

You seem to forget... changes in fuel, weight and tires in the course of the race are equally true for all the riders, not just Rossi, and in particular Lorenzo who is riding virtually the same bike, albeit adjusted to his specs. There was nothing inevitable about a pass, especially with Iannone et al bringing up the rear.

I didn't forget that the changes during a race apply to all riders. However, Rossi is often quicker on worn tires than Lorenzo.

Lorenzo is on the same bike, but has different strengths and weaknesses compared to Rossi. I'll have to look at the data, but I'm guessing Rossi was faster in the first 3 sectors. When he lost time trying to overtake @ turn 1, he recovered the gap to Lorenzo quickly. Like I said earlier, Rossi mentioned yesterday that overtaking wasn't going to be easy and which is why he was happy to be on pole.

Some pics

Just a few pics found around the traps, including the photo finish and Alvaro helping Jack off

I have followed the sport for quite a while, certainly for long enough to know Rossi doesn't always win at Mugello as you said in the post to which I replied, Jorge having beaten him in the last 6 Mugello races, winning 5 of them.

If you are a non-Rossi fan parodying a Rossi fan props to you, but if you actually are a Rossi fan the art of parody involves taking something to a ridiculous extreme, a point at which your posts don't really arrive in regard to a substantial proportion of Rossi fans.

The only parody is watching the Guatemelan guy try to copy Rossi's whole career. He'll never be a 9 time winner. As soon as he goes to Ducrappy he'll be "no more time"

Except in this race JL was just as fast at the end of the race as he was at the beginning. As I said Rossi had a fair chance of winning the race, and possibly would have been the favourite to win, but this was and will forever remain not certain.

The salient thing in the race that did actually occur is that just as at Valencia 2015 JL made no mistakes whatsoever under immense pressure, and it would quite possibly have required something fairly heroic for Rossi to pass him and stay in front, although he may not have had the problems MM did at the end of the last lap which may be intrinsic to the Honda.

And your point is (a rhetorical question obviously) ?

And the last few corners -- https://streamable.com/31nr

Lorenzo is getting a lot of credit as he should, but it was Marquez that did all the dirty work the last few corners. Lorenzo was strong and held his line but Marquez put his balls on a chopping block to make that happen. That Honda was shaking like Libby at a Lorenzo signing. Mark had him beat by a mile going into the straight. I still cant believe Lorenzos drive. At first I thought it was a slipstream but now I think it was just the Yam.
Great ..... I think I'll watch that clip a couple hundred more times before bed

Right click and save it, that way you can keep watching it for yonks :D

Your posts are awesome. These haters cans see with Rossi's buttcheecks on their face.
You fools were deprived of the .... of all jizzfests. Rossi was about to check out when his motor checked out. Noone can beat Rossi at Mugello.
More .... coming your way soon

Would could should. I see you never responded to my post in the other thread, when you said Rossi had .... for us all tomorrow. Well it wasn't Rossi who ..........

Dont let facts get in the way of logic. 3 bikes never battle to the finish which means one would inevitably check out.

2016: Jorge Lorenzo
2015: Jorge Lorenzo
2014: Marc Marquez
2013: Jorge Lorenzo
2012: Jorge Lorenzo
2011: Jorge Lorenzo
2010: Dani Pedrosa
2009: Casey Stoner

Facts seem pretty relevant to me. I just love bopper meltdowns :)

Great post. As I said earlier Marquez was rider of the race for me, and even as a fan of Lorenzo I am happy to say that Marqiez deserved that win, he was riding over the limit on that bike for most of the race. I knew the drive out of the final corner would be crucial, but I thought Lorenzo was too far back. It goes to show you what a POS that Honda is off the corners right now, but of course Marquez could have easily passed Lorenzo at Valencia last year, right?

Bopper meltdowns are awesome

Seconded.

Except as the cause of the Red Flag he would be excluded from the restart (unless the rules have changed)

Yes that's pretty obvious but pulling Lorenzo back into the pack could limit points loss as at that moment he was off and running way out in front. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out, Rossi would know instantly.

Interesting pic here showing the rear wheel off the floor at the hump at the end of the main straight, Krop is reporting it could be one of the reasons both Yamaha's lunched themselves.

I read that, the other theory being Rossi's bike overheating due to the dirty air behind Jorge.

The problem with that theory, is Lorenzo's bike did the same in warmup when he was in clean air.
