MotoGp 2012 Rnd1 Qatar FP.Quali.Predictions

Yamaha is strong.

Stoner will play his cards in the race.

Crutch is excellent (and another proof the Yam is good).

Spies is crashing a bit too much.

Hayden is in second row, the position I expected both factory Ducatis to be in.

Dovi last of the Yamahas. He thought he could aim at Spies, but he's being beaten by his teammate.

(Another proof that Crutch is really good).

Pedro managed to put in a decent lap at the end.

Barbera a good candidate for a factory Ducati next year.

Bradl doing good.

Abraham also crashed.

Bautista.. I would expect more from one who inherited Simoncelli's bike.

Rossi: don't get me started...

Did u misplace ur bopper glasses? Whats up with u J4no? Turn ur back on VR? That might be worse than worship, that is, abandoning ur rider.

Lets start with Cal. The thing it proves is that Cal is a better big boy bike rider as oppose to needing to conform to the ... (its a technical term) 800 formula. Honda still best bike, make no mistake. Period. Spies crashing too much? Wtf? Dude crashed on a pole setting pace. That is, on the edge. Check urself. Dovi did decent. Just because Dovi & Nicky arent talking about their recovery of injuries every timr a mic is put in front of their grill doesnt mean its not an issue. You've sure concluded a lot based on first qual of season. Barbera on for factory ride? Step away from crack pipe. Only thing Barbera is good at is getting a tow. Why would u expect more from Baustista? He spent most of last year DNFing. And when somebody else got on his bike, we discoverred hes not all that we thought.

Come on buddy. Get ur head up. Dont forsake Rossi. Geez. How much u wanna bet me Rossi finishes ahead of Barbera?

I think stoner and honda are in trouble; hitherto it has looked like stoner could win at qatar on a bicycle given his record going back even to the lcr honda and his 250 days.

He has never obtained as much advantage as others from the soft tyres which may make his qualifying time less reflective of his race pace, but it remains to be seen whether he can make the harder tyres last race distance, particularly if the choice is now between "soft" and "really soft" as may be the case.

For Orkward Pete:

Tell you what. I will pull out a pen knife and you can take out a machete an Stoner fans will laugh til December

Did you know that the machete was just an Australian Sgian Dubh?

Yes ..... it came about when a Scotsman smelled some money a Gyran ( check out Guyra NSW ) guy had in his pocket and he pulled out his Sgian Dubh to attempt to procure/obtain the Guyran's pocket change ........

The Gyran replied

Tha's no Sgian Dubh, ................. THA"S A SGIAN DUBH

as he pulled out a knife the size of what we nowadays know as a machete.

Reference: ( A Sgian Dubh is a ..... length knife hidden under the miniskirt kilt of a scotsman )

Hows that!!??

Carrying the no:1 curse!

Could it continue?

I admit I'm fairly new to the sport but in my few years no one has defended a WC whilst carrying the no:1 decal?

Anyone know when the last no:1 defended a championship under the no:1 decal?

Honda. Chatter. It's a massive problem. They need to get it sorted.

Can't they just nip round to the local Doha Honda shop and get a CBRR engine and wack that into the honda in place of the elephant chic's vibrator they currently have installed?

Note: The Ducati L configured engine is a blue whale chic's vibrator ......

Stoner is either bagging, or they have serious problems. He says if they dont come up with something overnight, they will be lucky to podium. He only ran 6 hot laps the entire Q session.

I don't think he ever has. There have been reports that the extra added weight has really screwed with the finely tuned Honda chassis

and from Stoner's comments during the last few days - it sounds like Honda is still wrestling with this issue. Can't believe that

Lorenzo so easily out-qualified Stoner at one of his two favorite tracks.

I was very nervous in that moment, you know. Every time I see Rossi lapping ~2 seconds off the pace I got desperate b/c we all know his importance for the sport. It hurts bad see the Duke and Rossi in this miserable position. However, you must agree with me that Valentino should put more heart on that bike. Blaming it every time something goes wrong won't help. Preziosi already knows all the problems, but he can't solve them in one round trip. I remember Rossi stating last year that he would have to change his style 50% while Ducati should change the bike the others 50%. Well, Ducati made its part. So, what about Rossi?

This relationship is getting more and more embarrassing.

It might be good that he goes out like this, it will give his fans a chance to also get attached to another rider, but I think he would be fine on a better bike. i think the bigger story here is that we might be seeing the rise of Cal, for me the most fun of GP is when we get to see a new talent that can ride at the front and challenge the aliens. Watching Jlo's rise was fun and I hope Cal keeps pushing and gets himself alien status.

David do you managed to take any word from Preziosi?

Tnx a lot.

Preziosi is guarded more closely than the Crown Jewels. Only a select few journalists are allowed to enter to ask him non-threatening questions. He knows the onus is on him, and is under a lot of strain.

Oh... anyway, thanks. I'm anxiously waiting for your saturday roundup.

Reading here and other particular comments across racing community, Stoner gets nipped for pole by another competent rider and suddenly Honda is ....?
<
Maybe Stoner's bike does ride itself. Ah, the irony.

If Stoner only comes 2nd tomorrow, some peeps are gonna be calling for an entire Honda redesign. Maybe he should go back to Ducati, u know, the fastest bike in GP.
<

Ah,

I fully expect that tire & weight conspiracy which had momentarily gone silent to rear it ugly baseless head. You know, that tire aimed at sabotaging Stoner to help Rossi. Its obviously working boys, cuz Rossi is a lock for the win in 12th. I guess they just wanted his win to be more dramatic.

Im still picking Stoner for the win. Perhaps some peeps forgot, that even on the 07 "rocket ship with remote control" that Rossi made it a last lap duel. Maybe some peeps actually think Stoner 'owns' Qatar (like some believed Rossi owned Mugello). Isnt thats why they all line up?

Let me get this straight:

Hayden goes way better on the Duc.

Rossi goes bad.

Ducati says there's something wrong that they have to fix!!!?

( Which they stiil do .... in my book anyway )

its just non-stop "Gagaland" from Ducati!!!

Same old ........ same old .......... Ducati have absolutely no idea ........ how to look at the data even, it would now seem
<
<
<

Had the result been Rossi 5th, Hayden 12th ......... what would the current reaction have been
<
<
<

Casey said his set-up went from bad to worse. Chatter and then more chatter on softs....

U mean he made a change that didnt have the desired effect? No sir. I refuse to believe it. The Honda is ...., the tires are ...., the last minute weight change is causing .....

Rossi is riding like a ...... He is even slowing Abrahams Fastest lap.

I think he doesn't have enough pressure on him by his team.

He should ride that bike to it's limits and crash a few times to find it's limit. He is take in it too easy. I hope Hayden will push him to max.

Well done to Lorenzo for taking it up against Stoner.

Well done to Crutchlow and Hayden (especially) and Abrahams.

What in gods name has happened to the boppers? (i say that lovingly).

Chill dude, he'll have a better race. U'll see buddy.

Agree, Nicky and Cal did well. But im worried Nick will burn up his tires. Cal looks like a new man. Putting a Sat bike on front row. I expect good things from him at Silverstone. Looks like Arrabi was right about Cal. Now on a man bike, he can prove himself.

Not 100% sure but I'm thinking that it was Mick Doohan... For 4 straight years.

On another note, it's really interesting to read the various informed & sometimes not so informed opinions that run rife on Powerslide... Despite supporting Stoner, I for one will welcome a return to a serious competition between multiple front runners & am hoping that this current stop of riders & machines will be able to provide it.

Maybe then the angst & negative ........ that has been the dominant force on these forums will be replaced by something more akin to real fan based discussion...

Just my forlorn hope anyways...

Cheers,

Matt

Without constantly trolling for a free tow, Barbera is f-ing nowhere! Absent help from other riders, he's not capable of cracking the top 7. Let's see where he finishes tomorrow. He's often qualied far better than he's ridden after following someone around for several laps. He's a joke.

Barbera Towing Co. (i'd love to take credit, but Curve coined the term).
