MotoGp 2012 Rnd1 Qatar FP.Quali.Predictions

I disagree Wills,

Four of us were watching last night and all agreed that we thought Rossi was not giving it 100%

He didn't look his usual self today in quallie either IMO

Also if he is giving it the beans then how do you explain the time difference between himself and Haystacks?

On another note GO CAL!
<

Sincerely hope Rossi gets it together, it's painful watching him like this.

Go Jorge! go Cal!

"Rossi told MCN same old problems. Can't turn the bike with massive understeer and no grip on acceleration. Not sure what to expect in race"

No, not this:

Because Nicky was looking for a qualifying lap time and Rossi was looking for race pace setup and lap times. But as always, I will be wrong........

The Duc just works better for a rider comfortable with a rear-bias rather than front.

I think this whole thing is shaping up fairly well. I think the Yam's look good, Honda will be just fine (Dani is not out of it yet) and the CRT bikes will provide interesting mid pack racing amongst some characters known for fairing bashing.

Moto2 is always nothing but brilliant while GP appears to look less like last season....this is all good stuff in my estimation.

I agree that's what he was doing in the practice sessions, Cal commented on it in one of the after practice videos.

But to do it in quallie?

Seems odd to me

Thats it I'm dropping Stoner!

He's going so backwards!! Somebody got in front of him. Its all looking just like Laguna and Valencia 2012 !!

Damn missed Quali , would have loved to have seen Cal putting in the effort he must have.

Ducati looking way better. Hayden Quali in 5th is like old times on the Honda.

Rossi ....... he's just like Melandri. Doesn't matter if the Ducati is front or back grip biased ..... the guy has no idea if its not perfect.

Lets hope he doesn't do another clown start like at Qatar 2011.

I am surmising that this may be the case. Obviously it could be that Rossi just stinks on the Duc.

Makes more sense Hayden does appear to be able to work with a tyre that moves under him (must be the dirt biking)

The question is how will this impact tire life after 10 or more laps using a spinning rear to turn the bike? I like his style and I'm impressed with his ability to ride this way but I'm just not convinced that it's going to be an effective strategy for a 22 lap race. I give Nicky great credit for doing anything and everything to extract maximum speed from the machine but I think in the long run, the bike has serious problems and he's going to have to face them.

The wee ... will be greetin coz someone out qualified him, he'll be on the phone to Paul Hogan for a "funny" response as we speak. Or maybe the guy who writes the "comedy" Angry boys. Either way, it will be no laughing matter.

Whats up Baz!

Scared a page on a thread nearly got there without Stoners name on it?

Randy was getting better at keepin the rubber down! Just hope he holds it together...

My guess... a lot of the CRT guys are going to be crashing because they're going to be trying too hard to keep pace

with the sattelites.

Good point,

would be interesting to know how far he went on the oldest tyre to glean any idea of if will actually last full distance going at it with that style.

I agree the bike still has demons but at least they seem to be less this year than last.

Well for one of the team at least.

Its going to be interesting! thats for sure.
