After qualifying it looks like Pol is back up to speed. Could be an interesting championship now with Pol chipping away at Scott's lead.

If it goes the way it did today, Redding has at least six races in hand over Espargaro.  Plenty of time for MarcVDS to find a bit more oomph :) (fingers crossed, that is!)

Great race - breathtaking last 4 laps.

I'm not sure where I should post, in this thread or in Willski's "I love Scotty" thread.

Great race!  Congrats to both gentz.  Pol won...this one.  So full marks.

Redding is brilliant and has the tenacity of a fighting dog.  His post race interview while in Parc Ferme shows the kind of sportman he is, giving credit to his competitor.  Love this guy.

Still 30 points ahead.

(Poor Toni Elias.  I feel bad for him)

A great, very fair, race.

A big question is whether Assen is, as the commentators suggested, one of Pol's best tracks. Scott was very, very, close. It'll be interesting to see whether Pol has the edge on a number of upcoming tracks, or whether we'll be seeing

What I'm worried about is that we might see the championship decided one way or the other through a DNF. If Pol had fallen off today, then Scott would have a massive lead over him. But if Redding had fallen off, the championship would be very close.

Must admit I WTF'd when Elias went down.

Poor Toni Elias. How far he has come, from winning a MotoGP race in 2006, to winning the Moto2 world championship in 2010, to his crap season last year, and now starting the season on a Kalex bike on the Avintia team, he's doing just as poorly as last year on the Suter. So sad to see a rider like him have such terrible luck...

but but but he's on a Kalex, the best bike!

........ aside, spot on. Though he may want it, just not half as much as Scott, Pol, etc

He was no slouch on a 125 and a 250 either. Had some epic battles with riders like Pedrosa, Pogialli and Fonsi Nieto.

Elias is done, I don't see that guy bouncing back.  He won in the first year of moto2 IMO because of his experience.  He was fast obviously but he crashed less and stayed consistent while others were still figuring there .... out.  He hasnt gotten any faster since and everyone else has moved on.

Well done to pol and redding.  I like both of them but I cant help but think that if Redding wins the championship it will be because pol ...... up the first couple of races
