Pretty close to this, but with a couple crashes and corners gone wide to randomize it a bit.

I don't see any reason why it going to be any different than Qatar.

same here. unless inclement weather strikes, then expect 3 place to be someone other than lorenzo

look familiar? see how practice go's could change.... but i doubt it.

Ditto

If it rains there will have to be a Suzuki on the podium.

I would like it to be:
1. Rossi
2. Stoner +0.010 sec
3. Lorenzo +0.100

But it might be:
1. Stoner
2. Rossi +5.00 sec
3. Lorenzo +10.00

Motegi..used to be a simple matter of going with the Bridgestone runners
<

Stoner (This might not be as comfortable a margin as Qatar)
Rossi (Doesn't like it here..but does that ever matter?)
Lorenzo
Dovi (Demon late braking pays dividends here)
Capirossi
Pedrosa (Could be higher depending on fitness)
Elias (was blindingly quick on a stroker here - but then so was Marco, Casey, Dani, Dovi, Mika Randy, Jorge etc.)
Edwards
Kalio (likes the place even more than Toni)
De Angelis
De Puniet
Vermeulen (like it's been said, - in the event of rain could likely rostrum)
Melandri
Nicky (Would dearly love to see him in the upper quartile...have patience)
JT (will be largely anonymous all weekend)
Takahashi (obviously know's the place backwards...but could well run off/chuck it due to over exuberance)
Sete
Canepa

The 250 graduates all seem to love this circuit - Kalio could be a real dark horse.

Japan in the spring? WSB used to run Sugo around this time of year, and Suzuka was an early round. Motegi has always been a late season fly away as I recall, so track temperatures will be much cooler than recent years.

Kenny Jnr. used to love this place too...(as if that's of any relevance whatsoever).

It looks like it might be rainshowers Friday and Saturday but Sunny on Sunday. In that case it can't be good for those not settled yet.
In that case:
Stoner
Rossi
Capirossi
The mended robot
Lorenzo
Dovisioso
Vermulen
De Angelis
Edwards
Kallio
Hayden
With a more stable weather Hayden will be in top 7.

Smith is crazy fast, and on the best team this year. He has yet to turn one of his outstanding qualifying performances into a race win. He's came close, would be great to see him do it. Smart hard working kid, certainly deserves a win and this year it will happen. Just needs to cure a little crashitis.

Ok, onto Motegi predictions:

1. Rossi - going with last years race winner in Japan. He needs the victory to show himself he is going to keep pace with Stoner.

2. Stoner - is there any doubt he and Rossi will be at the front, several seconds away from everyone else. Swap Stoner for the win if he gets the holeshot. Stoner leading into turn one usually means the race is over. Let's hope not in this case.

3. Lorenzo - ok now things get interesting as far as picks. Pedrosa took 3rd last year at Motegi, but doubtful he will be at full strength. Lorenzo looking fast and solid.

4. Dovi - only managed 9th last year at Motegi, but this year he is on daddy Honda's bike on home turf for the factory, and being the #1 hope for Honda right now he will perform well.

Now the hard picks:

5. Edwards
6. Cappers
7. Vermi
8. Pedrosa
9. De Angie
10. Hayden
11. Kallio
12. Elias
13. Melandri
14. RdP
15. Gibbers

Ok, onto Motegi predictions:

Me thinks it will rain, but not as hard as in China F1 last week or in Malaysia. My pick:

Stoner
Rossi
Vermin
Edward
Lorenzo
Dovi
Capirex
Giber
Hayden
Melandri
Pedro
Elias
JT

didn't work.

Let me see:

Favourite rider: Bayliss, Vermeulin-...........nope no Stoner there....

always been the same.

just because I question Rossi,s ability to win the title this year, you make the wrong assumption.

I,m just seeing what most obsevent followers of motogp see.

eg: http://moto-racing.speedtv.com/article/mar...case-for-casey/

Also read articles by Kropotkin........they say much the same thing.

One last time...........I follow Vermeulin.
