Favourite rider: Bayliss, Vermeulin-...........nope no Stoner there....

always been the same.

just because I question Rossi,s ability to win the title this year, you make the wrong assumption.

I,m just seeing what most obsevent followers of motogp see.

eg: http://moto-racing.speedtv.com/article/mar...case-for-casey/

Also read articles by Kropotkin........they say much the same thing.

One last time...........I follow Vermeulin.

There are plenty of pro stoner posts from you inc some in mine and jumkies adventure thread so regardless of what you have on the profile we know where your loyalty's lay. But i agree with your assertion that capi and or vermi will do well, esp if it rains.

Anyway, lets get over it and get back to the racing.....

When I posted " the smell of fear" I was using a lot of artistic licence and using Kropotkin as my template, but also looking forward to stirring up the likes of you Rog.haha I do believe ( as most commentators do) that Casey is the fastest guy in motogp, and only falls behind Rossis skills in racecraft as he has not been doing it as long. We have the fastest rider versus the best racer, a mouthwatering concept. I had hoped CV would be the one, but he clearly is nowhere near Caseys talents. I don,t have to like Casey to admire his abilities. We are truly very fortunate to be watching two of the greatest talents of all time racing together. Rossi, till now, is the greatest rider of all time ,in my opinion. But I think the transition to the next motorcycle god is underway right now. Lets enjoy it while we can.

If it stays this wet I might change my pick to Vermeulin or even Edwards if he stays in his current confident mood. Maybe even Melandri will surprise us. If its sort of half damp though, I think Stoner will be the one to beat.

However, I really think my most desirable outcome is Melandri on the top step.
