Try it you lameass dicks, thats the easy answer. You wantme to agree to the lamest ... beginner view of a riding technique, and I cannot, because to go fast you would be nowhere doing what you guys are saying you do.

None of you have ever tried it in anger even, thats pretty damned obvious ........ again you are just reading a magazine and saying thats how it is

Try it.

You arrogant ..... How do you know what we do or have done? you try it ! you make out your some dirt bike master yet never offered up proof. Half of what you say here just proves your full of ..... I used to ride supermoto and backed in all the time. Proof of this. Well i have non just like you so dont go taking the high ground pretending you know what your talking about.

Because you lameass .......... you would not be saying it had you ever been on a track, racing (not track days ) and done as you propose. It is a nonsense when at speed and trying to maintain speed.

Barry, seriously dude, you do yourself no favours in these discussions with your unsubstantiated personal attacks.

ok ..... substitute the word "lameass" with "big fluffy bunny" if it makes you cope with it better. There comes a time though you just have to say it as it is

And .......... as Winston Churchill would have loved to have said ......... never in the course of history has anything been more substantiated!!

Oh and Mick, I thought you got it by now ......... I'm not into "doing myself favours"

I can't back in a bike like a professional motorcycle racer, you're the one that claims to be able to do that, I merely questioned your method - what's your point?

Barry - to take your argument to the extreme...every other post you are explaining the genius riding techniques harnessed by Casey. I love watching Stoner at work (don't give two ..... what he's like off the track), I love to read about what he does, but - applying your logic....don't talk about it...do it yourself. You can't - never have, never come close and never will.

I can marvel at Chris Vermuelen backing in - you exhort me to try it myself by racing, why? - why can't I admire his skill and understand how it's done? I can't emulate what Chris does on a bike - I'm not good enough, but I can learn from it. I climb - or used to, and I admire the late Dan Osman or the free climbing exploits of Alain Robert - should I be scaling The Petronas Towers instead of reading about it or watching clips? I can't come close to either of these luminaries amongst the panatheon of climbing greats - I'm not good enough, never will be but I can learn from it. I can listen to and watch clips of Rachmaninov playing the piano - given I can shakily transpose chords onto the keyboard - should I be out there performing as a concert pianist before I am qualified to try and understand and venerate his talent and execution?

I say again - I can't back in a bike like a professional racer - never will be able to. You are the one that claims to be able to do that and pours derision on the examples of racers doing this that I have provided.

We can all be inspired - and by taking something up and getting out there and doing it - we can similarly aspire to be.

...or we can take the easy option, and simply ........ people that we have and can over the smoke screen and anonimity of an internet forum.
