Is they're an official record as to who has had the most crashes in a moto gp career or season? In the last couple of years it has to be Randy de puniet, Im sure his percentage of races finished is around the 50 or 60% margin. Im not bad mouthing RDP i'm just pointing out that of the modern riders he's the biggest crasher.

Why you bad mouthing Depuniet? Have you seen his girlfriend?

Has to be RDP. Stoner picked up the nick name Crashy stoner in 06 with 6 crashes (race only) but RDP topped that in the same season with 7.

casey did crash a lot in 06 but ever since then he's rare to go down, especially in a race.

Rdp has continued ever since, but i guess if i had a hot piece of ... like his i wouldn't be able to concentrate on my racing either

I'm thinking crash.net would be the place to ask.... !

Sorry .... M i'm not a member of Crash.net

I normally say fast rider crash while they find their feet. I said this about Casey in 06 and it is documented here somewhere me saying this. Many people did not agree back then but i was proved right. I said the same about RDP but i think with him i'm proved wrong.

Ruben Xaus was certainly fast, but he never found his feet. The only rider I can think of that I have witnessed bin it on both a warm up lap and during a post race celebration. At Laguna WSBK in 2002 I actually saw him crash twice on the warm up lap of Race 2. There is a feature devoted to his crash career in this weeks MCN which is celebrating 25 years of WSBk. Worth mentioning there's also an article on Anthony Gobert who astonishingly once raced motorcycles for a living.....and to think, I had him down as a sad sack amoral inarticulate lowlife junkie buffoon who mugged elderly retirees for they pensions to fund his chronic crack addiction. That makes everything ok then.

Damn - the post Court Case TV interview that I've posted a hundred times appears to have been deleted of You Tube.

"...chronic crack addiction" The chronic part in your sentence might be a tad bit redundant.

I will join you in liking your post nonetheless.

Fiance.

They got engaged earlier this year while in Asutralia visiting Lauren's family apparently (and apparently they both got plenty of attention at the gym they attend)

As to the topic - what era?

Christian Sarron spent more time off the bike than on it back in the days gone by as did Jean Phillipe Ruggia (Mr Elbows)

If you are talking modern (lets say 4 stroke era) then RdP would be up there, Spies woudl be on his way given the number of practice and race incidents (moreso practice), Hayden had a real bad trot there a year or so ago that woudl have added to his score as well. Certainly Stoner in 2006 and with a few in 2008 plus a number of practice crashes at the time, Simoncelli in his short stay as well spent a lot of time picking himself up, not to mention Elias, DeAngelis and Capirossi over teh last few years.

If you are asking about race only incidents than that I suspect would be RdP or maybe even Hopper.

But interestingly enough, if we talk of the most, it really does then bring focus to teh likes of Rossi for his remarkable record of not crashing during races (up until 2011 anyway) - a brilliant and remarkable achievement.

Carlos Checa has to be up there. He didn't get the knick name Careless Chucker for nothing. I'm sure I recall a season, possibly 2001 where I heard a stat like 22 crashes in 16 GP's or something.

He only had 2 in the racers in 2001. 5 in 2002 .3 in 2003. 3 in 2004. 4 in 2005. 1 in 2006. 4 in 2007.

Why was this worth mentioning? Nothing to do with the topic whatsoever. This has been discussed before and again you show yourself up to be the high and mighty arbitrator of people's lives. Ever known anyone with an addiction? Never done anything wrong yourself Arab?

Well i know Arrab personally and im sure he has done things wrong in his life. Im also sure he has never mugged an old granny.

Excellent point about Rossi not being much of a crasher, Its an amazing feat to have so little crashes in such a long career.

In chops point about fast riders crashing often until they find they're feet, lorenzo can be added to that list. Back in 08 and 09 he had quite a few nasty spills but as of 2010 he has been a lot better about not binning it.
