MCN claims valentino rossi rides the M1 next season!

You are more of a tiring troll than hater really. But good on you, seems to work very often.

And you are more of a pathetic prick ...... but I don't usually waste finger time on you do I.

And do what? fight for 4th or 5th place at best as he did in 09/10 before leaving Ducati. I think he left Ducati just at the right time.

Mmmmmm.... I think that you'd better go back & google your 2009/10 stats my friend... In those 2 years, Stoner took 7 wins & multiple podium positions... Quite different from the picture that you paint...

ANd back then just about every race the commentators would say "Stoner is the man to beat" and the Boppers were saying "but he's on the best bike in the world!" ......... remarkable the switch around for Ducati really. All because of the change of just one part.

Just stating the fact that he finished 4th in championship standings in 09/10 and he was never a championship contender in 09/10.

But that isn't what you said... You were trying to justify Rossi's race positions by comparing them to Stoners 09/10 seasons... I simply stated the fact the you were way off base with that call. Yes Stoner finished 3rd & 4th in the championship in those years... Please refresh my memory as to where Rossi finished last year and where he is this year?

That aside, I don't think that Stoner would return to MotoGP in 2014, let alone Ducati... More's the pity :-/

I wasn't trying to justify Rossi's performance on the duc mate however in my opinion Stoner wouldn't have done any better than 09/10 if he had stayed on the duc. I have not even mentioned Rossi in my original post.

BTW it was 4th & 4th, get your facts right

So Valentino looks set to leave Ducati and head back to Yamaha with his tail between his legs.....and what an awesome legacy he will leave behind for Ducati.......

So far for $20 million dollars a season ($200 Million if you use TCAS ie. Talpas Creative Accounting System) he has delivered......

Zero wins

2 Podiums

7th in standings last year

Currently 8th in 2012 and also trailing his lesser regarded team mate in the standings.

Regularly out-qualified by Sat spec bikes

Zero development/ improvement relative to Ducatis competition (some would say they have gone backwards)

Multiple race and practice crashes

Publicly bagging his employer

Multiple excuses and hissy fits due to his lack of performance

and finally - he may even take Ducatis main title sponsor with him when he leaves........

Did I leave anything out?

What a smash and grab raid. Well done champ!

And people wonder why not everyone is inclined to worship at the alter of the God Of All Tossers.

but the 800cc and 1000cc desmos are entirely different guys! Entirely means the whole 1000cc bike is new.there is no olden technologies. This is one of the main reasons why ducati decided to sell the 800cc desmos to the public.if they were dumping in the yard like they always do,they would have used those existing technologies in 1000cc. So comapring the results of two different bikes are completely pointless.so we better dont compare results of stoner and rossi in ducati!

apart from bore n stroke???

Der r many million dollar technologies in every gp bikes..not just the bore n stroke of cylinders.all the associated technologies which includes electronics and chassis stuffs...

Then why should other manufacturers dump their million dollar bike in the back yard? jz cos they dont want the technology to be known outside

For the record, the 'scoop' about Rossi being sighted by McKenzie at Yamaha headquarters in Holland was a hoax.

Wow, I didn't take you for a Rossi fan......?
<

You left out Ducati's increase in sales despite the economic downturn, you left out the purchase of Ducati by one of the worlds biggest automotive groups who incidentally seriously wants to retain Rossi's services. You left out a racing engineering team that has changed its bikes chassis once in 2 years, and provided one version of that chassis whilst the competition have provided numerous chassis, engine and even completely new bikes several times. You have left out the fact that the same engineering team has not changed the bike at all since January 2012 and the small, not fundamental updates they threw at the bike in 2011 provided no changes, despite the same requests and problems that they've now heard about for the last 5 odd years-completely dispelling the mainly Boner centric myth that Rossi has thrown Ducati under a bus. You left out the incident last season where Rossi ran over one of his best mates resulting in his death. You left out the fact that despite multiple DNF's and massive problems with the bike Rossi was still the top placed Ducati last season (qualifying Doesn't count for points-just to let you know
<
), and will be this season. You left out the fact that Rossi had a shoulder injury since April 2010 which was only rectified correctly in December 2011. You left out the fact that in 2011 Honda threw the kitchen sink at winning the title with a gearbox worth over 1 million dollars and an unprecedented 4 factory machines fielded throughout the season. You left out the fact that Rossi gets paid what he does because he has 9 world titles, 100 + race wins, 150 + podiums and is the most successful rider of the modern era-by a huge margin.

I know I've left stuff out too, but a piece of advice to you too, no doubt you are hurting due to the Aussies rather pathetic performance at the Olympics currently and your golden boy super speed king walking away from Motogp and in true narcissistic spirit you've decided to come back to PS and detract from Rossi, its ok.....you don't have to watch Motogp any more.....perhaps women's relay swimming is more up your ally?

This being said I would still like you to enlighten us some more, so a question or two then in light of your incredibly well researched points above.......with such apparent negatives why have Ducati offered Rossi another huge sum of money to continue of their bike for another 2 years? And why has Yamaha offered Rossi the Factory seat again for two seasons? And why has Honda also offered Rossi a factory bike for 2013?

Y'know I generally agree with most of your posts. But really... Rossi did what he could, suffered the humiliation of learning just how fallible he really is, suffered the humiliation of not coming within miles of Stoner's accomplishments on the Ducati and had to eat his words and now go crawling back to Yamaha as low man on the totem pole. He's still a guy who has provided us all with great moments in racing and doesn't deserve to be banished Ducati-Siberia. Yes - he's out for himself, but who in racing isn't? These are guys who live to win. They're not philanthropists. Ducati had two years to make the bike rideable and they failed miserably. Nothing they accomplished buys them the right to insist Rossi be dragged through the mud of mediocrity for another two years.

+1

Great post Keshav

I thought he should stay at Ducati and try to work it out, until the hoax twitter stuff came through last night. It certainly cleared my vision as to what I'd like to see him do.

I now hope he does go back to Yamaha, but in 2010 I was sure he'd stay with them, so what do I know.....

Rossi has proved beyond a doubt that he is NOT adaptable.

Even Maybe being adaptable is better.

Pedrosa and Lorenzo are Maybe adaptable.

Rossi has proved that he cannot adapt to the Ducati. Fact.

He did however prove in 2004 he could adapt to the Yamaha.

Neither Pedrosa or Lorenzo have had to change to a different machine in the MotoGP class so their ability at adaption in the top class is unknown. Unknown is not better than having adapted once successfully, yet failed to adapt a second time in your later years to a bike known to have spit out allcomers except the exceptionally skilled Stoner
