Yamaha blackmailed by Ezzy, forced to leave the second factory slot open. Yamaha are the new Bridgestone, Ducati the next Michelin, soon to be thrown on the scrap pile.



No-one is happy. Stoner gone, Spies says .... you with all the back room dealings, gone. Lorenzo blackmailed into having a teammate that will try to run into him at every opportunity same as Motegi 2010.



Dovi busting his arse racking up podiums for nothing, factory bike gone to another rider who openly says he cant be bothered trying just for a 5th place. If I was Dovi I would say .... you Ezzy and go sign up for SBK as well.

On topic then, how would have Jorge Lorenzo performed on the Factory Ducati for the past two seasons? How would have Dovi performed on the Factory Ducati for the past two seasons? How would have Dani Pedrosa performed on the Factory Ducati for the past two seasons?



IMO they all would have fared far worse than Stoner, and maybe on par or worse than Rossi......certainly nothing extraordinary, and none of them have the record of Rossi.....but blow it out your ... all you want, all of the world's best motorcycle manufacturers are offering Rossi a bike for next season, including Yamaha, I guess you know more than them......

The difference is none of them said that they could go there and fix it in next to no time and win on it. Rossi said all those things. He also had the gall to pass comment on how Stoner was riding it and his commitment. So basically all those riders you quoted were not as stupid or as arrogant as Rossi was. Rossi took it on and failed proving he is only a good rider if he has the best bike.



Personally I think all of those riders would have done better then Rossi. Why? Because they are all more adaptable, slightly less used to getting everything they want at the expense of everyone else (Jum will argue that Pedrosa can't claim that) and quite frankly have bigger balls than Rossi. I believe in order Dovi/Dani would have been most successful with Lorenzo close behind and Rossi a distance behind. But then just like your comment it is all speculation. I don't know and neither do you. What we do know is Rossi failed big time. His failings can be summarised as: unable to adapt his style, unable to grow the balls to push it to the limit and unable to develop it which all resulted in unable to WIN on it.

I'm not really into having the Nth conversation about why running a team with a lead rider works. Hey, Yamaha have been doing it for the last two years, go figure.

So your saying Yamaha shouldnt hire Rossi for fear of disrupting the lead rider, or that Rossi should be Lorenzo's ..... next year?



Looks to me like two strong lead riders worked quite well for Yamaha in 2009 and 2010.

For a guy who I imagine has a pretty healthy ego, this is a very frank admission that he was acting like a spoiled baby in the past and he understands that now.



At least that's my take.

Barry, you really are the funniest guy on here! Ha ha!!!! I love the ..... you write! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
 
I do think that Valentino will do a lot better next year than he as these past 2 years at Ducati, but nothing too significant. I reckon he will get 2, maybe 3 wins before the end of the season, but I cannot seem him winning a championship again.
