LAGUNA SECA 2013: Predictions, Practice, Qualifying

What makes you think he has a choice?

Good point.  Though honestly, I do think VR will win here.  Its a depleted field, and VR has got his settings sorted.  Well, he did for at least one race.  Then again, Cal will have to start the race with a full tank of gas. :)

I think Rossi has a good chance, but Marky also has,  and whatever people on here say Cal is capable of beating both of them at the moment.

I agree, but not so much at Laguna.  I'd be happy to be wrong though, as I would like to see Lil Red exploded.

Can't see Rossi winning here as he struggles too much on last sector at this Track for what ever reason.

haha he doesnt...what i mean by that statement is rossi will ride like he did in '08 to not lose to cal again...i.e. aggressive with a lot of risk taking...and possibly jumping down the corkscrew haha

Do you think it might be quicker for Cal to start on half a tank and do a pitstop? Could be the advantage he needs in those first few laps.

They need to do something to help Cal with his starts, he gives himself so much work to do every race it seems.

Pedro "has to" beat at least MM at Laguna. Whether he can also win the race has to be seen, but I wouldn't rule him out; he will try.

Crutchlow can beat anybody, as long as he can avoid serious injury. It's a big IF, because he's crashing a lot; he doesn't seem to have much margin.

Rossi also "has to" beat MM at Laguna. Same consideration as fro Pedro applies.

MM should just learn the track and have fun, and he'll probably be top 3 or 4.

Lorenzo...?

Haha no. This isn't exactly bopper central.

Weelcome to the forum btw

Thanks  -  done got so used to stepping softly I might not know how to act normal again

Hoping we get a good fight at the front this week.

I'm going to go with:

MM

VR

CC

DP

JL

Some other ...........

And a bunch of awesome drunk guys waving the Union Jack and decked out all in red track side.

It is impossible to predict the winner without knowing whether or not Rossi will be allowed to offroad at the Corkscrew. Hi Boppers :hi:

Well..........Rossi said he had to go faster and if he does (on tarmac or on gravel) he's gonna crash. Methinks he has reached his limit on speed.

Rossi is always allowed to offroad, it's a matter if he wants to or not ...

This track should be easy for Marquez if he can learn it quick enough. He's already done a few laps on a scooter it seems, with somebody (from HRC?) riding on the back. With the Honda's superior drive out of corners, and Marquez's evolution of Stoner's style, it's hard to see anyone else beating him.

Jorge heading for his medical, what if he fails?

edit: He's fit, literally.

MM within 2/10th of pole in FP1 - come on you old salty pros. These are his first laps there and the kid is making you look foolish.

Kudos to Jorge for taking it nice and easy - plenty of time left to sort things out.
