LAGUNA SECA 2013: Predictions, Practice, Qualifying

Nice Mad-Max move by Bautista passing Petrucci in practice. What an .......; totally uncalled for in a practice session.

JL making some wise decisions this week. That and a handful of good meds for the last 10 laps of the race might get him on the podium at Laguna.

Dani sitting out FP3, Q1 it is.

I don't understand this. It seems that a slightly cracked collarbone should not be such a severe issue.

(Easy enough to say, sitting here in my Comfy Chair!)

Maybe his head really has completely imploded?  His body language at Laguna suggests a near-hopeless mindset.

"Game over, man!"

I know I'm repeating myself, but these guys are generally very superstitious. Maybe Dani sees this as a potential replay of that other season. I really hope not. He went through a lot of trauma with the collarbone issue, followed by the whole loss of blood flow issue that required a 2nd surgery. That's a lot of history, plus he's got Marquez in his face with his undeniable brilliance. The prospect of being the bridesmaid one more time has got to be depressing as hell.

You're right, he's no doubt 'in' Q2.

'Game Over, Man!" (?) is about his head, not grid position.

If he can't convince himself to go out and run a few laps, how the hell is he going to psyche himself up for a complete race?

Was expecting Grins to go into the high 120's instead of a low slide.

Hats off to the all Honda front row..................but can they stay there?

Jorge level headed so far at least till he got back to the garage.

Probably felt he left something unexploited.

Seems the prospect of Bradl loosing his ride has had a positive influence on his riding this weekend.  Let's  hope he can keep it upright tomorrow.

I knew that Laguna Seca was going to be a Honda track, but I never thought it was going to be that much of a Honda track. My prediction for tomorrow,

MM

VR

SB

JL

CC

DP

(The Spanish torpedo to bin it following a rush of blood to the head whilst leading in the early stages of the race)

...., don't get me started. But, as you know, I spend a fair bit in Europe....not thrilled with some of it, particularly compared to NO Cali.
