250cc races are Grand Prix races. So he has 5 GP wins. He has zero MotoGP wins. But that's not what the commentator said.

Semantics,but it was lazy broadcasting. Technically they are correct but when have you ever mentioned a moto2 moto 1 250 or 125 rider as a GP rider. They are in almost every instance referred to by the class they are in

Anyways, Laguna Seca has always been an unpredictable track. I mean, hell....... even "The Kentucky Squid" was able to get 2 of his measley 3 wins in MotoGP here. Now THAT says alot.

AB will be on the inside in turn one starting 3P. Rossi will be outside AB turn one 4P start.

T1, the kink at the crest of the hill, isn't nearly as bad as the long, wide T2. Combine the many legitimate lines around the double-apex, and difficulty in judging one's first lap braking point, and you have trouble. IMO, if Torpista is to strike this weekend, T2 will be his most likely hunting ground.
A hopeless Banzai up the inside of the 'Screw would not surprise either.
