Jorge has made me a believer

Jorge means business for sure, if he stays healthy I think there is a really good chance he could win it all.
I can get on board this. I don't wish injury on anybody and never want to see a rider hurt. But I sure wish Pecco would have missed one round to make the championship more interesting.

He's 36 points behind Bagnaia. With 8 events left he needs to average 5 points an event more to become world champion. Another way to look at is if Bagnaia fails to score any points at an event and Martin takes out the Sprint/Race double, ie 37 points then they are even.

Oh and if Martin becomes world champion he will be the first rider in the MotoGP era to be world champion from a satellite team plus we will end up with 5 world MotoGP champions on the grid next year

Zarco crashed on the same corner a few laps later so maybe it was partly about the setup.
For all the talk of Ducati being this dominant machinery, the riders on Ducs crash pretty often, more than the other brands not named Honda. They had to have some drawback to balance things out I suppose.

It wasn't going to be this easy for Martin. But that's the last DNF he can afford.
Sure is a tight race now.

Martin seems to have really gelled with the Ducati, at times it seems so effortless on his part, it appears to be Martin's championship to lose at this point !

Well I think there are more Ducs in the field than anything else. It would be logical if more of them crashed than other makes.

The remaining races are going to be very interesting, at this point I believe things are a toss up between the two leaders as long as they both stay healthy.

I do think that cancelling the Sprint Race last weekend worked against Martin though.

I agree. Sadly it was the right reason to cancel, the weather conditions made racing too dangerous
I have been at a race that has been cancelled do to weather. Well technically they started the race stopped it and then decide not to continue. When they announced a time for the restart I watched Vale stand up and storm over to Stoners garage to band together to end the race. It was the only time they ever agreed on anything. This was in Indianapolis. That year a hurricane made its way all the way to Indiana. Although the winds had died the rain was still very heavy and you could see the spinning clouds from the grandstand. It was the correct decision.

I missed that one, didn't really want to ride in a hurricane, but went almost every year after.

I have a pic somewhere of Jlo riding around the track with a Captain America shield...
The next year was my favorite. It was the year Nicky podiumed. I was able to meet up with him after the race outside his pit garage. I walked around everywhere sneaking in any place I could. I ended up in the room they were testing the gas from the winning bike. The people in there were like who the .... are you?!?
