You raced in Ireland too !!!,. hmmm I hope it wasn't TZ 350's or SS400's :)

PS. u are hardly going to Jerez are you

How are ya Topper?

I raced 600's for two years then three on an R1 so I don't think those were my elbows, mind you that'd be all you'd need, sign up to a forum only to come accross a sworn enemy.

How long ago did you race? Paul Harden is my name. Is that Nutts corner hairpin on a zxr400? I quit in 2002. No more money, if I won the lottery I'd be racing again in the morning.

Nope I'm not off to Jerez though if I can afford it I want to go to Catalunya again. I was there in 2003 when Loris won.

Paul

Rossi says the reason he always stands up and pulls his leather when he's coming outt pit lane is (Quote) "Because I wear my girlfriend's underwear"

Has anyone idea if the test are on Eurosport or Eurosport 2?

Hi Paul,.
Topcat=Tommy here, sorry for not getting back to you sooner,. work/travel etc...

yeah, it's a ....... hjaving to pack in for dosh reasons,. was actually looking at the fireblade for this year, 5grand for a track only brand new blade eh?,. worth a think about init !

Only an ol hand would have recognised that corner, yeah that's the hairpin at Nutts, It's a KR1s though, f__king nutty machine, but that one we had was totally reliable, great wee bike, used to bitch slap the fat arsed 400's, except at Bishopscourt ;-(

I done my two arm's in at the corner leading onto the straight at Nutts, I went from 16th to first agaisnt some notable characters, then done a 'superman' while leading[ ...... eh ? ] so that was some of me best and one of me worst races,. Nutts corner really was Nutts

did you know that the bottom half of that track is completely gone now

Listen u say u r going to Jerez, I am going too, sorting things out but looking to take my wee buck [ 7 year old ] to see it too, he's Valentino MAD. I keep telling him I would wip Val's arse at Nutt's but he has no family loyality at all the little ....,. or he's just to smart for his own good

You can't get it out of your system can you? I miss it every day. I had a CBR600RR that I just did track days on, sold it last year. Great craic pissin all over the 1000cc brigade. They're a real good track bike, very easy to push hard. I was only a second a lap slower around k/town on that CBR than I was on the R1, mind you I'd a cut slick in. I'd like something this year purely for track days, I'm actually thinking about a 250 race bike.
That photo of mine is the same corner at NC, funny that. Not such a good track for a 170bhp R1 though, I had it geared for 4th as top and still the front never touched the ground, fkin missile that bike. The tracks I went best at were Mondello and Kirkistown. I got a 10th at Kirkistown in the nationals/regal 600 right behind Joey D. Best day was Aghadowey, last to third on that R1 and broke the lap record for clubmans 1000cc. It was a hangover that did it I think.
I think the racing a NC is all finished and they're gonna close the place, I wouldn't miss it to be honest it was a dump.
I'm not going to Jerez, it's catalunya that I'm interested in, just to get to one this year would be cool.

Hi dude,. yeah know what you are about missing it,. f__k sake it's pulling your wings off.
R1 at Nutts
<
/4th for top gear hahahaha,. we put motocross gearing on the 250 and really couldn't change gear quite enough,. I even got a try out for river dance after that
<

believe it or not I went down to the kirkistown track days a few times as a mate wanted me to take his GSXR600 out, and guess what, Ol dozy brain decieded I could ride my R1100S beemer round ' within limits',. what a ........,.. although I started from the back of the middle group as I didn't wamt to be took out from the side,. I managed to pass all abut a couple of quick guys on R1's and blades,.

was reall funny to chat to them after when a sports tourer passed em,. also forgot I was riding in road leather and put a hole in me good jeans at Fishermans [ u can appreicate that one
<
], there's a few pics up on the 'kirkistowntrackdays.com' site of her, she'll be the only beemer there
<

is there any of your good self ?

later dude

I'm assuming that means you scraped your knee.... on an R series BMW?
<

What were you hanging off the side of the bike? I've got nothing against Beemers (Well actually, I have. Me and the old man are currently locked in a "Beemer vs. Kawa" debate) but anyway, you can only get about 40 degrees of pitch on one of those things before the pots start scraping the tarmac. Not good cornering clearence, really. I mean, look at the boxer cup bikes, their rocker covers look like knee sliders.
<

Yeah, t'was me knee, but forgot I had no sliders,. sort went into race face mode

No, cylinders didn't touch, but the plastic protectors took a little
<

skidmark knows the corner we are talking off and it can' be quite artistic to go round the outside of someone,. but an inch or two to wide and it take's a bit of a heave to keep on line so I tended to exaggerate things a little to compansate TeHe,..

I would'nt argue with your ol fella, unless you have signisifcant experience Dad's will at all costs embarrass the kiddies if they can,. so be careful

as regards Beemers & quackers well, I love em all, to me they are all different tools that do a certain job a certain way,.. tis just like a good weemen, there's a good'un out there for all of us,. you just have to find her and fine tune her
<

I have tried to attach a guy I know who also enjoyed trashing my bike, I mean testing it, I think he used to ride one as well
<
,. hope it attached OK

Different tools for different jobs eh? Like women you reckon? Well I have to agree. It's important to have a woman who can cook and clean, a woman who has rich dying parents and a woman who looks good in a bikini.... it's also important that these three women never meet.
<

Don't start on the beemers and Kawas. His argument is a kawas are .... cuz it won't last 190,000 miles. Mine is Beemers are .... because they weigh 190,000 pounds.

PS, nice picks. Careful with that big'un on the track, she looks like she'll snap yer backbone like a toothpick.

Yeah man the R1 wasn't exactly the perfect bike for nutts. riverdance on a 250
<
I'd fookin love to see that!
You should have too the gixer out at k/town, It's my fav place and fishermans and debtors are my 2 fav corners. I saw a guy there one day on one of those big suzuki 600 scooter things, wierd. Good fun to watch him piss everyone off as long as he's not out in your group though.
I have to stop talking like this especially at this time of year, ever get the jitters to start again?

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/kirkistowntrack...04/IMG_4889.jpg

Guess the corner, it's at k/town on the wee 600rr I had.

Heading for the Fishers eh ?
<

nice shot,. yeah this talking has been having a strange effect on my kiddneys,. I have been running to the pisser every 5 min's,. but nothing comes out
<
hahaha., f__k the amount of times I cursed the leathers trying to get my wee man out,. For na'hing

I have been started concersations with a ex-race mate,. we always start off buying another trackbike between us, then end up wondering,. sure what the feck,. let's get an ex-Taz bike or somefing and do a few Clubbers,. although if I hit the deck this time I reckon I'll do an impression of a china cup!,. still can't help but wonder though
<

Here's what the guys seen when the beemer started on the down stroke into the hairpin,. or when afterburnner kicked in
<

Here!,. skidmark,. did u know that this guy done somne secret testing when he was racing in the Boxercup series,. this one is of Da'man at Kirkistwon,. on MY bike,. cool r'wha

Just be careful with those TAS boys, I went to look at a gixer 600 in early 2004 that they were selling. On the phone they said it was this and that and spec'd to the hilt. When I got there it was a pretty much standard bike made up from spares they had. I didn't even bid on it. Phillip Neill asked me £7k for it when it was worth nowhere near that so don't say you weren't warned.

You're a crazy ...... with that exhaust ....
<

I know that Randy was at Nutts at one time, That picture can't be that long ago he's got a set of Jezza's apprilia challenge leathers on. What was he like, I think he's great. Did you see him get the outside foot off the peg? hehehehe

....,. well between us we have probably heard our share of stories about by Spec'd race bike's. I always suggest to guy that they should buy any sort of top spec bike straight after it's last race,. so as no 'improvements' are done before you get it,. I hate f__kers like that,. they are actually worse than theives if you ask me,..

Yeah,. the pipes on that ol thang are great craic,. Vanderleners, + chip. You wanna see the cars I pass at night, just when you know she is gonna 'pop' take a look in the mirror,. it's like someone taking a flash photo of stunned faces,. Oh I do so Laugh
<

The Craic wit Randy, ha,. he really is a joker, but that day he and Jazza were out on Supermotards,f__k can that guy ride,. he bounced of more corner curbs in mid air and I don't think he knew how the throttle went clockwise,. fecking Nutts,. but a genuine nice guy
The day was a bit of a ....... as u could prob tell from de foto, but they had the machines crying for mercy,. seriously, he can still go. Pitty we didn't know each other sooner, u would've had a good day out, although it was 'behind closed gates' testing

Personally I think the fecker came over here you go on a pisser with Jazza and get some R&R
