Who do you think HRC will make sure the 2008 bike works for Dani or Nicky?

The same person the 2007 RC212V worked for...........no one.

I got a couple of questions

1. Who has been using quali tyres out of that lot?
2. Are Honda satellite riders using the piece of .... 2007 customer bike or the 2008 customer bike (which is the HRC bike that won the last GP in Valencia)

Cause one of those two things (or both) must have happened for those laptimes to be so awkward.

1. Everyone who had any in their garage.

2. AFAIK they are all using 2007 bikes. I think I saw somewhere that the cutomer 2008 bikes in fact will be 2007 bikes upgraded to HRC standard as of today.

Yeah, Michelin Q-tires are good, but also, stoner was out.

To bad, got sentimental with the first list with Rossi on top and the Honda gang behind :)

i kno its early and im sure marco will improve but its not looking good is it and if it turns out that he is in a similar situation to what loris went through this year then hats off to casey he is truly on his way to the all time greats

So did Dani not going to Sepang 2 weeks ago make that much of diference for him and his speed? Nope!

Did Nicky by going to Sepang and being the 'hardest' working test mule in the business make that much of difference for him? Nope!

Dani is faster, and did only 3 less laps.

Who do you think HRC will make sure the 2008 bike works for Dani or Nicky?

Pedro not going to Sepang was a political refusal, nothing to do with testing and being faster or slower. He stamped his foot to make sure HRC will continue developing for him - which anyway is what they have been doing since the end of '06, isnt it.

Good to see Dani fastest.

Fastest but not faster than himself during race qualifications earlier this year... On quali tyre he did not improve on his 2007 pole position...

Dunno if it's been mentioned somewhere else but Stoner injured his shoulder in today's crash and wont take part in tomorrow's final day of testing.

Pedrosa not going to Sepang was simply not wasting time, there was nothing new to test, not testing again something that has already been tested and evaluated is not a political refusal, it's just common sense.

By the way according to Pedrosa HRC only started developing for him since midway 2007, and the results kinda prove it.

Neither did the rest ... what matters is beating the rest, not beating your own record. I'm happy.

except Hayden according to his quote...see link

http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2007/Nov/071128ia2.htm

'I wasn't a lot faster today but I was able to take a little bit off the lap time and was certainly more consistent in my pace than before. I think everyone in front of me today used qualifying tyres and as far as the team knew nobody went faster than 1m 40.6s on race tyres, which is pretty encouraging because yesterday I was definitely off by a couple of tenths on race tyres.'

So he's on normal race pace for himself and qualifying tyres will mask all his woes....like eveyone else.

DORNA - GET RID OF Q-TYRES PLEASE....and let the race pace dictate the grid orders....

Yes Stoner has already left Jerez it seems, went to Bologna for closer screening and will probably proceed to Australia in a few days. They say the ligaments of his left shoulder are damaged.
I feel really sorry for him, he was testing a new 2008 rear tyre and apparently it had not warmed up properly.
Anyway nobody improved on his time with race tyres...

Regarding Pedrosa and Honda, well, you are just repeating what Dani himself said, which can be believed or not. I personally don't...

I think Nicky has to be tickled to death to be only a little over 6 10/ths off pace when he was the only rider not to use Q's.
