Wow. That is impressive stuff by James. He is even beating Marco Melendri and he is on a Ducati bike. I am stunned and shocked about those results so far. Go James.

Yeah I just noticed that and I also notice that James has bumped up a few places as well. God I am shocked even more and look he is the top rookie now as well.

Only .3 slower than Rossi.

Nice to see Colin is on his excellent testing form.

Yes great to see Colin up there as well. God James has found a lot of form hasn't he? Colin is even beating the factory team and now that is shocking. God these testing times are giving me the chills.

I think its ........ they don't give us some live feed.

<
<
you think everything is ........!
<

I know. Why can't Moto GP do live timings for testing at least that would be fine? Nope have to find out at the end of testing. It's a dam shame that tomorrow I am coming back late tomorrow and I have to find out at least 10pm at night. The first thing I am going to do when I connect to the internet is going to find out the results of testing.

Stoner crashed at 190 Km/h in the fast bend opposite the pits. He was unharmed and resumed testing after the crash, but then stopped early due to some pain in the right shoulder.
Note: De Angelis used a quali tyre. http://www.gpone.com/news/News.asp?NNews=1242

No Suzi's??

Great stuff from JT already! Looking forward to seeing some clips on youtube of Rossi on these big b's! Colin, if only you can put this ina damn race!!

More than great. It's excellent stuff by JT and he even beat Marco Melendri who is on a stronger bike than James as well. I am really shocked about that more. I honsitly thought that Marco would beat James not the other way round.

It is interesting to compare the lap times in the current tests with the times of the 2007 race:

2007 Pole Position: Dani PEDROSA 1'39.402 160.185 Km/h
2007 Race Fastest Lap: Valentino ROSSI 1'40.905 157.799 Km/h

Was it canepa who won the world superstock championship?

Is an interesting test! Long couple of days still to go...

Yes he's official Ducati test rider.
14. Canepa (Ducati) 1.42.666 (67) is not bad in this company...

Melandri is in trouble.

I know it's still early in the preseason testing for 2008, but if he continues to linger in the 11,12,13 slot he will certainly be getting overtaken by Elias or Guintoli on race day.

Stoner = machine

Still on the 2007 spec (probably with some 2008 improvements) and he's still laying waste to the field.

My respect for him grows by the day. Riders and teams are frequently inconsistent during testing and practice. Stoner in the top 3 is a lock.

How the hell is Melandri going to chop 1 to 2 secs off every lap time by March 2008?
<
I really like Melandri but it appears for right now, he is miles away from having the Ducati anywhere near the podium.

Patience early days yet, Id like to see Edwards carry form on race day.....
Stoner is on the GP8
Casey Stoner, best lap 1m 40.221s (35 laps)
“This first day with the GP8 was really positive for us. I immediately felt at home on the bike because it’s pretty similar to what we rode last season. Today we were quite a bit faster than we were when we raced here back in March, which is very important because we have improved at a track that used to be a bit difficult for us. We found a very good set-up which could also be good at other circuits. We used 2007 spec tyres today, tomorrow we will start with Bridgestone’s new tyres. The only bad moment of the day was the crash, but these things can happen. I’m okay though, so everything is fine.”

Also interesting to see the equivalent times from this test last year:
1. Valentino Rossi 1min 41.745 secs

Seeing as Rossi is still using the 07 bike the difference between the test in 06 and the race in 07 shows the improvement to the bike during the year.

Apparently not - he's on the GP8
