MA I actually just went back and edited my prediction post because of the news I read this morning...but I still rate Pedro to finish 4th with the bad wing, he's just that good there. I figure he gets a lightning start pulls a gap but looses feeling and fades.

Time to recal ur predictions ladies. I bet im right cuz Rossi has nothing to lose. Im sure hes already gave up on title. He knows ther isno glory in coming midpack. So he will bin or win. Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedro need/should play it safe. If one of those 3 crashes, it may mean their title, and will b very dumb in putting themselves in risky catch up position in such a tight championship.
Again, i predicted:
1. Rossi
2. Nicky (team orders)
3. Take ur pick: Spies, Dovi, Simonch, or anybody else needing to risk to assert.
Oh, Tek, with all due respect, Rossi's movie at first corner was a bonsai attempt, mere luck nobody got taken out. Even the slowest guy can overshoot a corner and "appear" to hav gained a position for a mili second. How is this even up for discussion is amazing. I expect stuff like that from a select few, not u. If u care to ask a few respected members their take (arabi & michaelm) i doubt they would tell u any diff.

if its rain, then stoner for the win. lorenzo and dani to fight for the remaining podium spots. rain will be a blessing for pedrosa because it means less stress and strain on his shoulder as well as rossi for that matter.
which team has the better setup for wet weather? IMO its the yamaha but lorenzo nullifies this by not being the most experienced or comfortable wet-weather rider.

Well jums watching it again, you can see he brakes along with the guy right next to him but his rear tire started sliding away, probably causing him to over shoot the turn moreso than he would have had he got his braking right. My take on it is that people here are crucifying him(black flag) when he didn't disrupt any of the other riders./shrug

Friend, I think you are making my point. He couldn't hold the line because he simply went in too hot. In the first turn of a race, that usually means people will be taken out because the riders are all bunched up. You say yourself, he overshot it, his rear sliding, resulting in him saving his own skin by going wide. The fact that he didn't take anybody out doesn't make it any less out of control. Think DeAngelis. Anyway, Rossi was out of control, can we agree on that? Not sure how you can make the leap that this is ok, especially at the crucial turn one of any race where we have seen every year riders taken out. The fact that he "didn't disrupt others" is far from the point. So the others got lucky. But he was still out of control and was a bonsai move in my opinion. About others "crucifying" him, actually. I'm surprised we haven't talked more abut that move. I guess because luckily nobody got whipped out it's a non story. Sorry buddy, but I don't think this is even debatable. I guess you do, so it appears we disagree.
after lorenzo's performance last year...its hard to say he wont be up there
