JEREZ RD2: Predictions, Practice, Qual

I think this weekend is going to be all about Horhey, from Friday to Sunday.

Someone else might be up there on a practice or two but he's going to win the race.

Practice,Qualifying :

Stoner

Pedrosa

Lorenzo

Rossi

Simoncelli

Hayden

Race:

Lorenzo

Pedrosa

Rossi

Simoncelli

Hayden

Edwards

Was going to say:

Pedrosa

Pedrosa

and

Pedrosa

but after the sign that his shoulder is still wrecked ......

I'm thinking Lorenzo.

Jorge-loves it here

Pedders-also loves it here

Rossi-Balls out

Dovi-as usual

Stoner-even beaten by Nicky here last year

Spies-battles with the Afro

Sic-loses battle

It's only wednesday today, but i,m already so excited and almost shaking. bring it on.

I only hope for a battle between Casey and Horhay. It looks like these two dont want to battle it out. but maybe this week they should.

I hope to see another gp like the first one, only with a difference in Rossi's performance this time.

Bring it on, bring it on. Bring the sunday on.

Rossi DNF Crash: Pushing to hard chasing a podium on a bike he's not capable of riding the way it needs to be ridden

I hope to see another gp like the first one, only with a difference in Rossi's performance this time.

I agree, that would be great - and it will only improve, but this is not a circuit that favours the Ducati. I'm not even sure that they will be able to extrapolate the race data that they so desperately need.

Agree with Barry, Dani's loss of feeling in his arm was a concern at Qatar, so Lorenzo looks like a strong favourite, but I am convinced that Stoner will be the man to beat once again. As the season progresses there is a strong possibility that he will begin to assert Doohan-esque dominance over the rest of the field. This could result in his rivals pushing too hard to keep up and find that their title bids are dogged with inconsistency, forced errors and DNF's allowing Stoner to pull away in the standings. Pure conjecture on my part, too early to tell.

There appears to be an albeit small comfort/safety margin on that Bridgestone shod RCV that the Ducati in particular lacks.

And if this happens, i will give you 3 guesses, and 2 dont count, what the reaction from the monkey farm will be.

Pedrosa will be nothing more than a sideshow to the stoner lorenzo duel for the title this year.

Stoner

Lorenzo

simoncelli

That would do me!

I guess the pressure is on Pedrosa big time. This is a track he is good at, a home round no less.

If Stoner beats him here, Dani's chances of retaining (equal) number 1 status at HRC look grimm.

If Stoner wins here, Dani's chances of retaining (equal) number 1 status at HRC are zero.

To top it all off, he arguably has the best bike in the paddock under his butt, but also suffers from injury. I feel for him a bit.

Predictions:

Lorenzo for the win probably. This is not Stoner's track. Hope I'm wrong.

Pedrosa might crack. Hope I'm wrong about this too.

Other than that, anything can happen...unless Elias taking the win.

Might not be a 'Stoner' track, but Pedro did well here last year. So if this years Honda is better than 10, Stoner should do just fine.

History says Stoner and Jerez just don't mix, but if Stoner does win Jerez I will join those saying 2011 is his WC ........ even after only 2 rounds

Stoner or Lorenzo for the win, dependant on whether Lorenzo can rise to the occassion.

Pedrosa third, Spies fourth.

If Valentino stays with them, very outside chance of a fortunate or fighting podium.

Valentino is working on a new way of riding the Ducati, he started on it in Qatar ........ the bowling ball maneuver. Its a one shot first corner move, but who knows he has 18 chances to get a strike! ...... and win on a Ducati

Actually I shouldn't joke about that it was a stupid bit of riding ..... should have been black flagged
