JEREZ RD2: Predictions, Practice, Qual

Actually I shouldn't joke about that it was a stupid bit of riding ..... should have been black flagged

nope he had a plan... he is a real racer after all and gutsy when need be but incontroll, motogp isnt a knitting lesson you know.

i think his plan was to get near the front and try to stay with them by getting a tow, not a race win by any means but closer to the podium.

So cutting directly across the entry to the corner because you misjudged the braking ........ is racing to you ?
<

It was a newb desperation move ........ its quite obvious Rossi does not have the skill to ride it as it has been for the past few years, so desperation was needed
<

Once again Rossi was just plain dumb lucky it was Stoner he cut across the front off ...... had it been say Randy or Simo ...... the result would likely have been carnage
<
<

Perhaps you had better stick to your expertise on Knitting lessons
<

I'm just glad that the new era of real riding getting the wins has come back, not the cat fighting ala Rossi and Biaggi, Rossi and Gibbers etc. etc. etc. There won't be a drift away from MGP as there was when Rossi came in and Edwards and Baylis were going at it ( with real riding ) in WSBK.

did rossi come close to crashing into others at the start? how come no one ever talks about any other racer that pulls hard passes?

Rossi is taking a direct course for the edge of the track cos he got in too hot and the Boppers call it "a hard pass"
<

well if you do wish to call it a pass ......... who did he pass? cos he ended up way back after the move
<
he passed something thats for sure! he passed his own ability to control a Ducati
<
<
<

hard pass
<
<
<

Passing is usually to gain positions not lose them
<
<
<

Boppers
<

Edit: I just realised that I am probably misinterpretting what you Boppers call a "hard pass" ........ normally a "hard pass" is where someone makes ground by a maneuver that is not totally devoid of circumstance for or touching of the rider being passed ....... but I realise that in your definition of a "hard pass" ...... yes it must have been difficult for you to watch many riders going past Rossi as he messed around trying to turn the bike before he gravelled it on the first turn
<
<

Crikey I just realised! Rossi came so close to binning it on his very first racing turn of the Ducati

Calm down barry, I can tell by the extreme amount of emoticons your are getting a little to exited again. Your ticker cant take it bro.

Heres my pics;

1.pedders

2.lorenzo

3.Spies

Was wondering how long it would be before the usual hate for rossi would enter this thread, surprising it took so long!

Well put him back in your favorite riders list! Thats pretty bad hate you got running there, not even having him your favorite riders
<

<
<
<

What is it with all you kids and the "WAH WAH WAH everyone hates my Rossi" ........ bopping thing
<

Would you rather nobody ever critiqued him ?
<

Thats just plain weird
<

I arn't a bopper, he isnt my favourite rider and I arn't a kid either!

I dont let my hatred for any rider cloud my judgement Id rather just get enjoyment out of watching the racing!

Stoner

Lorenzo

Pedrosa

I see a HUGE fight between CS and JL for the win. Pedrosa close only if his shoulder miraculously recovers.

Have we seen a close battle between CS and JL yet? I don,t remember it. I think this will be the first of many.

Stoners results at Jerez , to date, are poor, but his history may well be skewed by uncompetitive bikes. I suspect Jerez is unfriendly to Ducatis, not Stoners.

(PS. At race time I will be in Paris ( on the way to visit Chopperman
<
). Anybody know if this is televised live in France?)

no amount of emoticons can mask your lack of intelligence...all this name calling is on some childish ........ haha! grow up pal....and having a favorite racer doesn't equate you to being a .... rider. you're blowing things out of proportion once again. rossi didn't even come close to taking any other rider out in the first turn. and as far as hard pass, i'm more harping on his moves to pass jorge in motegi and hayden in PI. simo pulled a similar move past dovi last race and no one said ..... you seem to have malice for him. it's pitiful. instead of enjoying what motogp brings, you decide to bask in the downfall of one particular rider. and then you hop online to goad others into a petty argument that goes in circles. "my favorite rider is better than your favorite rider"...blah blah blah

Oh thats funny! I thought that since you didn't even mention any other incident, and the fact that your post immediately followed mine about the Rossi ran out of space incident in the first turn, that you were somehow trying to say that it was a "hard pass" instead of the loss of control that it was.

Perhaps my overuse of emoticons is cutting down on my psychic powers as well because I had no idea that you were referring to another incident entirely
<
<
<
<

No kiddo, you were being a ........
<
and you got told so.

Valentino is working on a new way of riding the Ducati, he started on it in Qatar ........ the bowling ball maneuver. Its a one shot first corner move, but who knows he has 18 chances to get a strike! ...... and win on a Ducati
<
<
<

Now now - don't get carried away - there's no ground for a black flag - unless like you seem to believe VR does something wrong by breathing. Or would you rather he just retired and MotoGP gets even more predictable with a 15 bike grid

All those who have picked Pedrosa for a win or a podium, do you believe his arm issues were real in Qatar? If so, how can you pick him just 2 weeks later to win or podium on a circuit that requires working hard in the corners?

cause if he manages to start from the front the adrenaline will keep him going.

imagine a dwarf on meth, thats what pedders is gonna be like if he has the chance to be top honda rider and beat lorenzo

never underestimate the power of endorphines

I was thinking along the same lines, but he did seem EXTRA despondent at Qatar ......... hope he goes ok.

His injury is real.Ofcourse.

But Quatar is said to be harder on your body than Jerez (words of Rossi) ,second It's a hometrack he has done well on,third maybe he has done some different training now that he knows what's wrong.Eventhough the pace will probarbly be hysterical and maybe even Lorenzo will make a mistake in the race, motivation will put him up there i think.

He said it was harder on HIS body, considering his situation. Pedro's injury and resulting limitations [if real] are more than likely totally different than Rossi's,[if real] considering they totally different injuries.A broke collar bone, and a shoulder joint injury are 2 totally different animals.
