Brilliant racing by both and a sensational last few laps.

Could actually be used to show some others how to race in close quarters, in tricky conditions but not collide and inconvenience others.

Patience the virtue for Dovi who again clearly showed that he knew the plan of MM and was ready ........... again

Dovi is a pit bull.l, he's been a fighter all his career. He's been erroneously underestimated because he races clean. This stung Marquez, you could sense it from his parc ferme interview, saying he knew Ducati would be strong but it will be different at Phillip Island. It's an excuse, he got beat by the better man today.

That's 5 for Dovi.

Holy mackerel! The whole circuit went nuts on last lap! Great race!

Ya'll rewarded for braving the weather. Instant classic. Thee best performance from a season of great performances by Dovi.

Watch that Dovi pass down the back straight. I tell ya there was no way he was going to make the turn, expected him to be in the gravel. You know he was in way too hot because Marquez didn't even bother trying to hold position, in fact he's sitting back waiting to cut inside. Pass of the year way to go Dovi.

Yeah at the end Marquez smiled in the interview but his eyes say something different, he went from a lock to win the race and more or less be champion to absolute game on in the space a few turns. Bring on PI, I think it suits Ducati.

Has anyone ever crashed twice in the same race as many times as Crutchlow?

Great race from Dovi and Marquez, I don't know who's luckier Marquez for staying on or Dovi for profiting from a mistake. That's twice that Dovi has beaten Marquez in last lap battles now, that mechanical from Marquez could really cost him at the end of the season.

Yamaha loses Lorenzos development and is now behind Ducati and Honda despite being ahead of them last year. Ducati gains Lorenzos development and is now ahead of Honda and Yamaha. Must just be a coincidence.

Agree, its amazing that Dovi was able to apply the brakes to absolute perfection. Dovi's last three laps were perfection. Marc is awesome though somerimes his spectacular style is overstated; Dovi didn’t stand Marc up nor make a dive bomb bonsai move, which is mistaken for a lack of commitment or fighting spirit. But it takes far more skill and self control to execute perfectly under such pressure, conditions, and a rival that is willing to risk crashing.

You may want to book a trip to PI. Btw compa, Dodgers won game 1 tonight of the NLCS (semi final, best of 7).

Now Rossi just needs to block MM at PI and Sepang to help Dovi win the championship.

Nah, i think Rossi will continue the strategy of refusing to pass Dovi. He's been doing it for most of the season. Afterall, it's clearly working to help his young teammate.

Some may say he's contending...

Last lap.
Ok, MM made that mistake but, Dovi's entry into turn 10: classic. Got the exit.
That's where he systematically nailed home the advantage to capitalize and just wouldn't let go. Tidy stuff.

Thats gunna be some kind of dive bomb from 10 seconds behind. I can't wait to see that.

Great race. Props to all three on the podium, but especially Dovi. Millimeter perfect once again. A few could learn a lot watching how he goes about his races. Zarco may learn you don't have to hit someone to pass them.
