Indy Race Thread SPOILERS!

Keeping my eyes open for hints of team orders.

I'll be surprised if Ben finishes one position up on Lorenzo.

SURPRISE Geo!!!!! Why'd u think there'd be orders like that anyway? Its Ben's home race and Yammy sells in 'merica... They wanted him on d podium!!!

Got me!

Spies blew up his chance in the start, i expected to see him wining or finishing at the second place, but still it was a nice recovery by him to score the podium from 9th place and especially that he had to overtake Lorenzo as the last rider.

Stoner was superb again and won a lot of points from Lorenzo.

Pedrosa is performing at his best, even he isn't at his best shape.

Another miserable weekend for Rossi. He and ducati haven't had any progress in races so far.

hector does an extra lap than haystack

Hayden 26 Laps result 14th

Barbera 27 laps result DNF

what a clown

Anyone else noticed that Pedrosa seems to be more happy being beaten by his teammate into a number 2 position these days than he has been leading the HRC works team?

Also, it is beyond me how people can say this race was boring. Did you see Spies coming through? Did you see all those hairy passes? Did you see different tactics working at different stages at the race? The track may be pretty boring, the surface should have been rubbed in, but the racing was very nice.

i must admit how the front tire lift in the back straight is friggen amazing.... anyone who says its boring dont appreciate the skill involve and the risks.

Noticing how Ducati riders keep pulling in before the end of the race for unspecified reasons, about which commentators can only speculate. Turns out the Ducatis have a bright little LCD comes on to illuminate the Bollocks Meter when the needle goes into red zone indicating the rider has had enough.

No, not at all. Getting off line was an absolute hazard. There were quite a lot of passes. I enjoyed it a lot, actually.

Yeah, one of the classics... You and Pink should get together... He's amazed at 4" power wheelies and you think passing on a dirty line is an (hahahahaha... wait for it...) ABSOLUTE HAZARD!!! Lion's and tigers and bears, oh my!!! I'm freakin' crying... hahahhahhhahaha ad infinitum.

depends who u follow, the attempted passes on Jlo initially from stoner was foot in mouth stuff. and same with the pedrosa pass. and the speis battle with hayden and dovi and simo and then on jlo was all fingers crossed stuff. i'm sure if rossi did what speis did it would of been a great race

Insert more ALL CAPS and 'hahahaha's', subtract more punctuation save for the ellipses and triple explanation marks and try to get the overall level of hysteria up, it will make all those fancy Latin phrases you copied from Wikipedia appear more intellectual.

I kid, I kid.

Its more a reflection of the 6 hours of vaporising and drinking rather than the intellect...

i wouldn't pay 1cent/penny to attend this ....

Pathetic, isn't it? GP was rebooted in 2002. The MSMA lost the plot after 2 seasons, and they've retreated to the same country club they've run since the 1980s. Even close racing can't save GP now. It's stale, and contracting rapidly with no end in sight and no leadership of any kind. A microcosm for global affairs, really.

Generally speaking, all motorsport is dead. Floating aimlessly on the high seas. Interesting repair plans are rejected. Gimmicks are adopted. Manufacturers don't remember why they went racing in the first place. What do you do? Abandon ship? Mutiny? Build support for a new course? Weather the storm? Let time take its toll on the aging autocrats? Apathy looks like a lovely harbor, ATM.

Congrats to Stoner for a great race. He deserves to win the title, and he deserves to etch his name in the rulebook as King 800cc. Spies was disappointing, but he did manage a podium. Bautista rode well, and he beat all satellite machines for 6th place.

K - You mean the MS that many here were postulating would be a significant player at the pointy end while you resolutely held to the "not-a-hope-in-hell-with-the-head-on-his-shoulders" theory...?

Was that the guy who finished 12th today? Then yes, him.

Ahhh him. He finished ahead of one factory rider... Poor Nicky it musta burned him something fierce at home.

How about that Marco Simoncelli?

I'd quite forgot about him. While he was busy sucking, I was thinking on all the snarky .... I could write

later, and then got all caught up in watching the Pie Man play his way out of the sandtrap.

Anyone think HRC has de-tuned his ...?
