Not when it has wormwood in it !

Effects

[background=rgb(250, 242, 221)]

Wormwood is a mental stimulant. The effect of wormwood is narcotic, lightly anaesthetic, giving a peaceful and relaxing feeling. In combination with alcohol or in larger dosages hallucinations might occur. Wormwood is suitable for making tea, which has a positive effect during post-flu or post-infectious periods. In small doses wormwood is a remedy against common cold, rheumatism and tapeworm. It also increases the appetite.[/background]

That's it - it's affecting the tapeworm that has control of his prosencephalon.

First of all, I'd like to take full responsibility for my outburst and place all of the blame on Wilski, Chopperman, and Rossi (everything is his fault, right). .......s forced me to fly back with a bottle of some .... called Absinthe.

I've been on an Absynthe bender, and everything Jum has said is true (scary but true). I was on autopilot for about 24 hours, and apparently had the best night of my life (think 'The Hangover').

Buncha .......!

I spent a lot of time in Czech working at Skoda, it's not that bad. Those Czech boys can really drink - you get to the end of the night, you've had 12 pints of various strong pilsens and then they bring out the Absinthe... and you have to be on your game at work the next day.

One thing I have noticed, Yanks can't drink for ...., neither can Canadians.

You think you can, but when the rubber meets the road the Saffers, Ockers and Poms have you beat, hands down - let alone any panty-waisted metrosexual European.

Blaming your behaviour on alcohol... no shame

Spoilt rich little primadonna's ruined motogp more than Honda. Honda, as I remember them, only want to build fire breathing rip snorting bikes. It was only when little Pedro and Puig came along with the other sissy's that we ended up with these fluffy electronics TC bikes. Thats why it was so important to them to get rid of Hayden, he was encouraging Honda to go the rip snorting route.

The 80's and 90's were great because we could plainly see how good riders really were. Then came the primadonna's era: Biaggi, Gibernau, Rossi, Pedrosa, Marquez. We are talking riders that are so well backed they can change the rules of the game. Biaggi got it all started. He cried the Honda had too much power, he cried when McCoy beat him on a privateer Yamaha, he cried about Rossi. Now Rossi cries just like Biaggi, but still has the influence to do what the likes of McCoy and Roberts Jnr couldnt when they raced against Rossi. Its been contrived for a long time, I'm surprised people are only just realising it now.

I guess Marquez like Rossi having so much backing he can change the rules is just a bit too much for people. Dissappointing people like Krop still think this is ok, Marquez is just so special and continue to blame everything on Honda. None of these guys would do .... if they took the out the fluffy engines and put in the real ones, like Ducati do. It would return the power to riders from countries which dont suit the sponsors, and we cant have that can we?

The good old racing wasn't without its primadonnas, as you call them. It was simply a different world, media not so developed, business models completely different. No comparison is possiblle.

Honda always have been on the unobtainium road (see Honda NR 500 in 1979) and they started manipulating the series again when they ruled out the 2-stroke machines (that they always hated because that technology was too 'democratic' allowing even small manufacturers to come up with competitive engines) and imposed the 4-strokes. Then they have worked to make it more and more unobtainium-based to suit their technological might.

Their constant manipulation of the rules had almost comic reverses thanks mostly to Stoner-Ducati and Rossi-Yamaha but their intention has always been clear. But then some prefer to ignore this rhino in the room and go after the yellow boy from Tavullia... free to do that, but then do not complain if racing is boring and there are less and less bikes on the MotoGP grid.

Wormwood Adverse Reactions

Thujone produces a state of excitement and is a powerful convulsant. Ingestion of wormwood may result in absinthism, a syndrome characterized by digestive disorders, thirst, restlessness, vertigo, trembling of the limbs, numbness of the extremities, loss of intellect, delirium, paralysis, and death.

Toxicology

Wormwood is classified as an unsafe herb by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) because of the neurotoxic potential of thujone and its derivatives. The safety of wormwood is poorly documented despite its long history as a food additive. Convulsions, dermatitis, and renal failure have been documented.

You can believe what they tell you.

Says the man who has not posted an opinion on the subject but rather just attack members with childish insults !

Come on Rog give man a break, after all he did posted his opinion about Rossi laughing on Simo's death! how can we forget that.

Rossi I respected for riding 500s and having the balls to leave Honda att. But since then he's walked out on Michelin, Yamaha and now Ducati. The hate Honda thing seams to have expanded a bit.

In reality Rossi and Honda are just doing what suits themselves, as would be expected. The rhino is the one in charge of motogp, supposed to be ensuring this is a credible competition of the best riding talent in the world rather than a sponsorship driven popularity contest.

The interest of Dorna is to make sure the racing is close and interesting. They have no interest in manipulating who wins. That Rossi is 1st or 3rd for them makes no difference. Certainly 7th presents a problem, given the popularity of the rider, but Dorna cannot make Rossi win if he doesn't beat his main competitors on track. They may support Rossi getting on a competitive bike, but Ezpeleta cannot ride the bike for him. If Rossi is currently incapable of winning even on a factory yamaha, there is nothing Ezi can do about it.

The interest of Honda is certainly very different and their manipulation of the rules of the sport is certainly more worrying than anything Dorna can do.

Enough said...

Rossi in 7th would not be a problem, if the battles at the front were 2006-style epic. But they're not.

Can someone please explain to me why Honda is singled out as the devil when the topic is the MSMA. There are numerous members of this organization who all have say so on how they vote, yet Honda gets singled out by certain people, even putting Honda in asterisk out beside the acronym. Do they have some kind of veto power over the other manufacturers that im not aware of, or is it just easy to blame them because they are the biggest. If Honda doesnt have the sway to overrule the others, why not blame the other gutless members who actually have the power to overrule Honda.

I don't think leaving after your contract has been fulfilled can be deemed as "walking out". If that were the case then most could be accused of walking out.

They cant actually guarantee him to win, but they can stack things in his favor that will enhance the odds of him winning. Taking away tires in the midst of a season that a competitor finds favorable, sound familiar. Wasnt intended to help Rossi in this case, but i do believe it was intended to hamper Stoner. In the past, SNS were for Rossi, others were allowed to use them, but they were produced with Rossi's wants in mind. If your riding style was that of Rossi, then you could get some benefit from the SNS's, if not, they were useless. Dorna has no business brokering deals to assure that a certain riders odds are improved, or brokering deals that assures other riders path to victory become more difficult.

You're right. Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki have been completely gutless in standing up to Honda.

Is this the case?

Thats the question looking for an answer. If they are not being run roughshod by Honda, why does Honda get all the grief. If they are, why? I have stated many times my reasons why i think the other manufacturers go along with Honda, but i want to hear what others think is the reason.

Too right. I have never walked out mid contract, but I have contracted for in excess of 10 aerospace/automotive companies in the last 22 years, often repeatedly. The last point proves that they were not so upset that I left that they felt the need to spurn my abilities when more work came up. A bit like Yamaha with Rossi IMO.

SNSs were not made for Rossi and handed out to other favoured riders. Several riders (admittedly favoured in the old chicken & egg situation in that you had to be good to get your own SNSs....) had SNSs built to their own specifications. Elias got Pedrosa's spare SNSs at Estoril '06 and won on them.

Yeah and ironically that win cost Rossi the championship

Well i remember many years ago Honda threatening to pull out of gp if they didn't get their way. The threat had to be taken seriously as they fielded a very large percentage of the grid. Ducati did the same in WSB. What would todays grid look like if the big H pulled out? there's their veto !
