Honda threatens to quit MotoGP

You ....... moron.

I gather I hit the nail on the ........ in your case Rog.

Instead of being an absolute ....., can you come up with a sane reason the brief incursion of a "rookie rule" existed?

Had Lorenzo not missed the Rookie rule, where would he be now?

This has nothing to do with Rossi even though you try your hardest to make everything about rossi. If Honda and rossi wanted to re-sign it would not take a change in the rookie rule. Rossi would be a better signing than pedro or Marquez but as ive said, i dont think rossi wants to leave ducati until the job is done.

This is about rules being changed because of a riders spanish passport.

Doesn't it?

Let it fold, where its headed is a joke anyway. Honda seems to be the only entity involved who understands that DORNA is leading Moto GP down the path of ruin.

My problem isn't with the rookie rule itself, its with Ezy changing the rules yet again to suit...he's a spineless twurp and its the reason your boy is leaving.

The problem with MotoGp and the wild and ridiculous rule changes that are coming thick and fast is 100% due to a lack of revenues and has nothing to do with Honda, 800's, fuel regs or control tyre.

you know the problem with my financial situation is not that i spend .... loads of money on stupid ...., just that i don't make enough of it. silly me , all i have to do is find a job that pays a 6 figure sum.same goes for motogp ,they just need to find sponsors and crowds that pump in more money

i see your point, and for the record : i don't think motogp marketing is perfect.but you have to acknowledge that the frivolous spending in gps needs to be curbed. i don't want to hijack this thread to discuss once more what could be done to expand motogp to new markets (i'm sure there are thousands of companies and people in bangladesh waiting to pour millions into the money spending machine that is gp). but i really wanted to get this off my chest, its comforting but nontheless false belief that there is a magic pot of gold somewhere to be found that can sustain the spending insanity

I wonder if Stoner didn't win the WC when he did for Honda, would they have stuck around in MotoGP? With the crap that has been the series it is more likely that SBK will benefit in a major way. That series is looking exciting and really fun. How much and how bad would Infront and the Flammini bro's want Rossi and Co. to switch up to that series? I would say that it is in the cards if Vale sticks with Ducati these next couple of years, especially if Vale wins another WC.

I'm just glad he's not offering to suck my .... anymore. It was getting weird.

At least he was offering something constructive. All i get is the stuck record .... he has been spouting since he joined mid way through stoners 07 season.

I just pray a Taipan bites him one day soon and puts us all out of our misery. Or Gobert knifes him for some drug money

What if Maquez dont win the moto 2 championship ...

i actually hope this will happen

not because i have a grudge against marquez, he's just another kid.

but it will show that sponsorship is more important than talent. pulling for espargaro and lüthi, they both seem to be cool guys and very good racers. can't say the same about marquez. FWIW all he has is my tax money in his team and a special exhaust that gives him a 100 more hp

Marc seems cool and nice, but is a shark on track, which sometimes can be a great thing. He just needs to understand that some of his moves can hurt somebody or himself if hes not more conscience about it. Other than that, I have no problems with him, certainly not as a person.

The problem is that GP under Ezy with Honda's strong arm tactics seem hell bent on giving this kid advantages that are over the top by considering bending the rules for one man. I've never like it before when they did it for Rossi, so there is not reason for me to start giving this .... a pass now. With Ezy saying recently that he is considering relaxing the rookie rule, its blatant favoritism. Its not Marc's fault everybody is lining up to suck his .....

no personal issues with marquez, what kind of person would i need to be to despise him.

its just with the favoritism that i'd be happy for another rider to win the title. no beef with the kid. beef with the system.

to be honest i can't make that distinction between a guy being a shark on the track and being a cool kid outside of racing.

none of these guys are my friends, i never shared a pint with any of them.

but what i do is watch these guys race as a fan, and i enjoy good clean racing far more.

of course my opinion is subject to change, hes still very young and can get his act together in the future.

but for now marquez is too much of a hot head and more importantly is granted all the wrong privileges,so i'm rooting for other guys in moto2 that right now seem more deserving and level headed in their riding

Here you go again. No rules were bent for rossi. HIS ....... CONTRACT WAS UP !!! If any rules were bent it was for Pedrosa. If you will continue to lay on the hate, at least spout fact.

Yes, but the rule is in place. Why was it not bent for Spies? Or Cal? Or Bradl?

For me if this rule is bent to allow Marquez into the factory team, then its open slather. Surely then a couple more litres of fuel won't hurt? Its just a rule. What about another 10 engines? Doesn't matter, thats just a rule to be bent. Tyres? Bring whatever........1200cc

If the rule is bent to allow Marquez on that bike, then it would have to be considered to be a clear advantage to Honda and Marquez. The same as any advantage gained by breaking any of the other regs. Funny thing is I don't think Marquez will even win the Moto2 title this year, so there is a lot of fuss over nothing, he will spend the first season in Motogp on his ... most of the time anyway, whether on Factory or Satellite efforts. I don't believe he will ever challenge Lorenzo or Rossi, if the latter gets a decent bike again.

Maybe Rossi will be testing the Panigale with Pirelli's soon.........and trump everyone in the silly season.
