Espargaro: Petrucci hit me harder than Marquez

"He [Marquez] hit me very, very hard. But Petrucci did exactly the same to me, in Turn 2. The same or even harder.

"So the IRTA people need to pay attention because it's not fair that Marc has been penalised but not Petrucci, who hit me harder.

"It's a race contact, he has to be careful obviously because he cannot be that in the limit, but this is racing."

I am not saying they should have hugged Marquez and have a coffee with him after he apologized. I am only saying it wasn't nice to see Uccio insulting him on live TV.

You can roast a guy that came to apologize if you'd like. Just don't use insults, even if you are Uccio, aka a fat ... whose job is basically watching his friend's races from inside the box, you are still a public figure. It just wasn't nice.

You don’t get “Nice” minutes after something like that happened. People more knowledgeable about the incident have already remarked that this was not the time and place for Marquez to do that. He didn’t look sincere anyway, Puig was standing next to him with fumes coming out of his ears like a head master dragging his student to make him apologize.

I am a fan of Marquez when he races fairly, this just wasn’t one of those days. One incident can be overseen as a racing incident, but this whole weekend was full of such moves from him, not to mention the almost torpedoing of Dovi and Zarco in Qatar.

Any attempt to try and justify this behavior is what pathetic is.

I think Zarco was overly aggressive, but he was racing against someone with similar pace and clipped him from the side, the actual crash happened because Pedro hit a wet patch.
(I am glad Pedro is ok, that was a nasty highside).

Marquez took unnecessary risks against people who were backmarkers compared to his pace and straight up T boned two of them. I guess that’s the difference.

That said, I wouldn’t have been surprised if Zarco was penalized as well.

Everybody was a back marker with the pace he had.

Uccio said to Marc "don't come in here, don't you dare coming in here" and then ".... you" while Marc was turning to leave the box. Like I wrote before, all audible to anyone that speaks Italian.

Now Marquez has sure been reckless today, but that was pathetic.

To be fair, the mere fact that Uccio exists is pathetic :spin:

100% agree with you on the balls part btw.

Holypuck~ I don't speak Italian! But any chance I get to make fun of that queer, I will make use of the opportunity. :D

People say worse over here over posts on the internet.
I am sure you expected Rossi’s camp to be warm and welcoming and offer him a few Cervezas instead.

Your boy and company did not have a pair of balls back in 2015 to make an apology attempt. In fact they ran to carmello loving arms to deflect the blame on Marc.

That's why I said that you can roast someone on live TV if you'd like. Such as Stoner did with Rossi in the famous "your ambition outweighted your talent".

I am not making excuses for Marquez, he was reckless and that wasn't cool.

But Uccio, a fatass who prolly never even rode a bike in his whole life, insulting the fastest rider on the planet? Cmon.

.... that coward and Jarvis, it was the perfect time to enter the pits and attempt to apologize. He showed he was more of a man than either of them.

Agree with you 110%! Unlike the COWARDS they were back in 2015. How many times have we red where rides complained an apology was never given. I guess that SMUCK jarvis forgot about Jerez 2011. The coward move helmet on apology right after the race with Stoner. "Ambition outweighs your talent"

Uccio has actually ridden plenty of bikes and competes in rallying.

both you and I are faster than him on any motorcycle, I can guarantee you that.

He races rally once a year in a race called "rally di monza" which is more of an exhibition/party.

It is indeed bitching when the Rossi hate brigade brings him up 10 times as much as his fans do.

In 2025, Rossi will be retired with a fortune big enough for 4 generations and you lots will still be here shouting “SNS! Failed at Ducati! Rabble Rabble”!!!

I am sure he will be heartbroken.

So what? The amount of money he retires with can't buy him a tenth championship.

Tell us the race that Rossi received 3 penalties and made contact with at least two different riders. If you can't do that, don't claim that Rossi has done similar or worse.

The number of penalties is irrelevant. The individual incidents were equal.

The difference is Marc can afford no-points-score, this year Honda is a killer, in hands of Marc it is his title to lose. While Rossi is hanging there, this 18th place ended his slim hopes for another title.

I believe the rational was that because all of the grid bar Miller swapped bikes, then it wouldn't have been safe to have 23 bikes starting from pit lane

What I don't understand is why if everybody left the grid, how did the determine the new grid positions? Logically - everybody should have returned to their former positions. Marquez was a dumb-... for not listening, and going as instructed to the back of the grid.

When he came in the box, Uccio literally told Marquez, in Italian (which Marquez speaks and understands perfectly) "don't come in here" and right afterwards ".... you". Marquez didn't respond.

Note that I am not saying that it sounded like he said that, or that I read his lips. He literally said that, it is perfectly audible to anyone that speaks the language.

Pathetic, if you ask me.

That's Rossi's gig.
