Hey y'all, just registered on here.

I don't think I've ever had less confidence in Marc even finishing a race (or sprint). At this point I'm just hoping he won't get injured again.

Or injure someone else.
the honda has already injured everyone else riding it. looks like marc is over it. he isn't pushing at all in the sprint race. it looks like Marc is the only person in a wet race. I'm actually happy to see that.

Martin looked really good.
Interested to see if he can do the same over the longer distance tomorrow. I hope he can.
Zarco a big of a shunt on Binder there!
No chance of Marquez making that thing look good even here.
Miles away.

How on earth does Zarco get to keep that spot? Brad barely avoided an awful wreck there.

I was thinking the same thing. Had that happen earlier in the race Zarco would have had to give the spot back. Race misdirection as usual has the constancy of cottage cheese,

It's sucks to see him ride around in the back like this but ultimately that's better than ending up in the gravel all the time.

He said he'd rather crash than finish 10th, maybe he finally re-thought it.

Didn’t watch the sprint, just some highlights of qualifying here and there. Yes, the Honda is a piece of .... and so is the Yamaha. Apparently, you need a Ducati to be anywhere within range this year. Regardless, I would like to see Marc Marquez stop trying to over ride the bike. Some may find it entertaining but I do not. I can see pushing when there is a point, but here there is not. I can’t see the point of watching the Ducati cup race either. Time for me to stop feeding Dorna. The feed bag is going away next year.

I'm just glad Binder is making the season interesting to watch. Regardless of result, he's a showman on track.

Let's see if Martín can win the full race, he's master of sprints so far but lacks that something in Sundays.

Marc has to be mentally destroyed. His favorite circuit and can't make the difference.

Marc did just that this race. He was getting passed into corner one and still couldn't get the bike stopped. He threw in the towel today which I was happy to see.

I think MM really needs to see a shrink. ...... bike or not he has lost any sane decision making. ....... kinda sad.

It must have been tough. This is the track he knew he'd have the best chance to go for the win at and the bike looked like it was on ice. He is completely defeated and understandably so.

MM has not blamed Zarco for his (MM's) crash but has made the point that Zarco was heading into a very dangerous area without taking to account that MM was about to occupy the same space (which is essentially the same comments from others)

The corner is a poor design in where the entry road is as when (in this case) Zarco has to enter he is close to or on the line taken by the fast rider - that is essentially all that the riders are saying. Not blaming Zarco for the accident (although some have said he was the one who could have avoided it by braking or accelerating - as AM claims he did in similar situation).

My bet, watch the pit exit point be changed within 12 months

Totally IMO but absolutely wrong place wrong time for Zarco and while I see the point made by MM and others it is kind of a mute point based on track design and the fact that Zarco has nowhere else to go.
Don't think I've ever naysayed anything you've said in all these years. But, how was Zarco to brake or avoid hot-mess Marquez's bike from behind? True - it is a bad place for pit lane exit, but it's not as if a rider can expect another rider on a Honda to crash like clockwork. Oh wait....

Hopefully. I read Mick Doohan saying he needs to leave Honda. A big statement considering Mick won all of his on Honda's.
That bike won't be winning any titles so why keep crashing.

The other riders stated it based on their own experiences

He was not coming out with any pace and was coming out with knowledge riders were coming. What has been said is either come out and hit it hard or brake before the point of the lane crossing onto the live track.

Zarco could not have avoided what happened once he was entering the track and MM dropped his bike - simple - set of circumstances combined but again, MM was supported by other riders with their views which to me, I will take as experienced interest

But again, that entry point is dangerous - refer teh Vinales video

It wont happen but Papa Marquez needs to step in and do some fatherly stuff (as opposed to meal ticket manipulation) to look out for his son.

MM will be a spent force or critically injured at this rate and of serious concern for me is what he 'learns' on todays Honda and then takes to another manufacturer (shoudl he leave) in terms over-riding bad habits.

I would be genuinely interested (knowing this would not/could not occur) if Michelin could produce a tyre specific for that bike in testing to see how much is bike, how much is rider and how much is tyres in terms of issue

Saw that. Big call as you say from Mick

I do wonder though if MM were to leave, woud this spell the current end for HRC who may well move to another series.

Is it 2027 we have the current rules until?
I have read a few times it doesn't make sense to develop a new machine for that short period until the rules change.
If so he will be 34 when a new machine arrives.
I agree, get out and go elsewhere. KTM would be good to see. 8)

Marquez's performance in that short race and his struggles in practice, at a track where he has previously been so dominant, makes Rin's win look very impressive.
