hey remember the "person" i told you before? that was fanaticism at its worst... this is mild compared to that

I've seen some of the photos of the Spanish fans, and I must admit I was disgusted. I thought our society had evolved past the neanderthal stage, but it appears a few are still stuck. As usual, a racist, ignorant minority ruins things for everyone else. Arseholes.

although F1 is nap maker for me...thats ...... up getting dressed in "black face"....i'd like to see them try that in the States.....an ass whooping would insue.

I don't want to generalise the Spanish fans, because I know the majority are decent. However, the minority seem to go unpunished over there. A few years back the England football team were the victims of 'chanting' and the Spanish FA could barely have cared less.

In modern society, when this sort of thing isn't supposed to be tolerated, why were they even allowed into the circuit dressed like that? Needs sorting out, imo.

It's quite clear Ecclestone would like to move a few more GP's away from Europe and into Asia. The Australian Grand Prix will go after 2010 to India or Korea. He's looking to move others, so why not one from Spain?
Bernie's a ...... leach, another reason not to have anything to do with F1.

It is purely big business for bernie now, and he was very much a car racing guy to start off with. Hence the concern for what dorna might do with motogp, although they are showing some signs of listening to fans and motor bike racing people.

Very true. Also Bernie & Max used to be the good guys during Balestres era. Now Bernie's obsessed with cash and TV figures whilst Max must be senile to come out with some of the drivel he does.

I'd recommend a read of Bernie's Game, biography by Terry Lovell in 1999 - very eye opening in places.

Bernie should quit if you ask me. I dont need to hear that he is trying in his own way, bla bla..
He's ruining the sport, maybe he did great things in the past, but now he's just not doing a good job. He's too old anyway..just go man!!! Maybe it sounds disrespectful, that's not my intention, but I really think its for the better if he'd decide to leave.

Like I said, Bernie's cash crazy these days. IMO it's more important that Max goes. Crazy deluded ....... that he is...

Agreed, Max is a bigger pain in the arse than Bernie is. Bernie doesn't have anything to do with the regulations, it's Max's department that has made the grave errors over the last few years such as grooved tyres. All Bernie does is hold races hostage.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Franco Fangio @ Feb 4 2008, 01:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Spanish GP in danger??

How sad is this????

I don't really understand what all the fuss is about when so many people claim the race isn't an issue in our society. If race isn't an issue then racial abuse would be treated the same as any other abuse, when it clearly is not. Italian fans have been abusing drivers for years and they still seem to have a GP. I don't think this behaviour is acceptable at all but i think it is equal to the disgusting (non-racist) behaviour seen at races all over the world, I think people should toughen up on all abuse, or get over it.

Of course it wont

The fuss everyone has made about it speaks for itself, standard media hype.

I've put a sub-league on the F1 Manager game - the one run by the same people doing the motogp manager game we are linking up with this season.

It is amazing that schumacher can just jump in the car and do this sort of time. He may be a cheating ......., but he is a cheating ....... who is an awfully good race car driver. You rather get the impression if he raced this season he would be a fair chance for title number 8, as the australian edition of the F1 magazine said recently.
