Farewell Nicky Hayden

Oh nickys first times are in! Just 1.8s behind rea. Which is amazing since rea was like 7 tenths slower than Lorenzo in his first fp1. And rea got a hot wife and can speak English and only had to learn the very user friendly bridgestones. You know, the one that wouldn't just give unpredictably like the current. ...never mind.

Step your ... up nick, zis iz unacceptable

As good as Rea may be, his 'Hot' wife apparently refuses to allow anything bike related to be in their home. That means no pictures, no trophies, nothing. Apart from being hypocritical as that is what keeps her in the lifestyle to which she is accustomed, it's a slap in the balls for Rea who's passion is, and living comes from bikes. Well, it would be a slap in the balls if she didn't keep them in a jar under the kitchen sink.

Who? You?

Hayden needs to be up to speed at the next test. .... situation. VDM looks like hot .... on a .... bike. If he manages to beat Hayden , nick will be a cold fart before we know it

I couldn't find times, where did you get them? Don't forget he's re-learning a Superbike and the reigning champ did sod all on that bike last yr.

Chillax broseph it was just a glorified rollout. VdM was just 6 tenths ahead of nick in tricky conditions (drying track). So all in all quite alright I guess.
The point stands tho : if this was boxing it would be a promoters nightmare. The loser of that battle will drift off into obscurity and the winner won't get the credit - unless the bike is good enough to fight for the wc. Which it won't be.

Just bjc-ed it
Tatia isn't Russian? ! .... her for not letting him have his bike stuff. Are u sure she's got his balls in a vice and isn't east-euro?fark me, I was so happy for him :(

I'm perfectly relaxed dude :) I'm not the one who threatened to slice me open!

Good to know. At the least I want some wins from Hayden this yr.

Here the times. The Hondas where you expect them to be.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but how people think honda will do something next year is just beyond me. I know I know, they promised some more top end like they always do (ffs its getting monstered by a twin) but it will not happen.
Hayden wipes the floor with guintoli (who only lucked himself to a wc on a proper rocketship and only had to beat...hahaha) but there's nothing he can do I fear.

And....Oi!slicing open? I've learned a lot from the rocket master

I think people pin their hopes on 2017...if Honda don't bring a new bike Jumkie will have a meltdown!

Negative nancy : if there was a new blade in the make for 2017 we'd know it by now.
I fear honda will soften the blade, stuff it full with xyz control and in a best case scenario sell more gp replicas for the old farts with too much money.
Is nick directly contracted to hrc?

If NH doesn't win a WC in super duper bikes...does that make him worse than Biaggi?

Biaggi never won a MotoGP Crown though...

ETA: Be Careful man, I may have to give you a Mosquito Bite!

Biaggi > Nicky.
Unless you're a Kentucky fanboy. (Hi Jum)
Sad that such a great guy had to go to a rubbishy bike in Poxy SBK.
Won't help his legacy, unless he's super competitive. Which I doubt. Sadly.
But nothing will take away his MotoGP crown... Under pressure, didn't crack. ....... brill

The classic question: how did the Honda WorldSBK machine feel in comparison with your Honda MotoGP open bike?

"The tyres are different. I started with the wet front, which was quite a strange feeling, but once we put the slicks on the tyres were fine. I’ve just got to understand them. The brakes are a bit different. The electronics are a lot different. I’m in a new team and quite a new environment, so I have just got to understand everything and find the limit with the bike. I can say these electronics - just on paper - are much more advanced than what I was using this year with the Open bike, in terms of the amount of possibilities, different options and how much more you can fine-tune them. So that will be almost like going back more to what I had when I was at Ducati in MotoGP." - See more at: http://www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2015/QA+Nicky+Haydens+first+WorldSBK+test#sthash.ozzXmPon.dpuf

In other words, the RCV-RS was a complete piece of ..... 0.3 off the pace my ....

That really surprises me.. I would not have bet that the superbike electronics were superior to a GP bike. Any GP bike. Wow..

Donna have actively been dumbing down World Superbike after they took possession of it. Check out a Wsbk spec bike about 5 years ago. The only similarity it had with its production counterpart motorcycle was the silhouette.

When Baz jumped off the 2014 SBK ZX-10R and got on the Forward Yamaha, he stated the biggest difference was the tires. The HP & electronics were comparable. But that was the ZX-10R before the Evo rules neutered it.

The point being?
Yes,the engines are now evo spec which means no fancy cranks, rods that have the same weight as production spec and bla bla.so instead of 235-240 at the crank they get around 225. Gigantic difference. It's a conspiracy!
Well actually it just means that all bikes lost 10hp maybe except the duc because they weren't allowed the same freedom as other manufacturers under the old regs. Electronics have always been a few years behind but not far off. So there's no surprise there that it trumps the open bike. I might add the problem with the open bike for a few riders was more hardware than software, literally and metaphorically. The .... would just cut out or malfunction unpredictably. So anything that works predictably might seem like a big improvement.
Suspension is still the stuff of nasa,it is still a silhouette class. The only noteworthy dumbing down are the stickers and the addition of hayden, which I like

Agree. Point being the direction has gone backwards, regardless of magnitude, to artificially contrast the CRT/Open class.

Agree to an extent. Crt/open was the stepping stone towards a better, I.e. more sustainable gp model and the racing being less electronics dependant.
Whether sbk, now under the same roof, can afford to be anywhere near gp in terms of cost -let alone should be-...well that's a matter of opinion.
The time where the motorcycle world could have two pinnacles is long gone and I can't lament it.

Hope we'll see an outright ban of rider aids in sbk.
But please, I'm just waiting for someone to call for the aids available on stock models to be allowed in race trim. Cause .... knows : they are soooo similar to road stuff and if there's something that makes racing affordable it's trick .... specials
