Farewell Nicky Hayden

I saw Nick race his first AMA 600cc race and I've been a fan ever since. A lot of heart and never a crappy excuse for anything.

I gotta say though, the livery is cool. Can the lights stickers please.

Well it's certainly preferable to the bright yellow or the subsequent Hanspree livery. And other than the financial implications, no one will miss Pata.

Wish Nicky good luck at WSBK. Never watched that series, but want to see how he does next season. Not going to watch F1 anymore, so that'd be a good substitute.

But now the million dollar question: Where do you watch WSBK in the US? Don't remember seeing the series in any of the sports channels, or Velocity. Have AT&T U-verse 300, if that helps. Thanks.

I've been watching WSBK on Bein Sports in the US.

Saw him attempt to shove that bike underneath Haga at Laguna that year Wild carding in the WSB race with lamentable results.

Actually Compa, based upon your recent recollection of Sean Emmett's hapless victory celebration, can you recall a similar incident involving Nicky?

Lamentable results? Compa Nicky finished a respectable 4th in race one. Race two Nitro was riding like he typically did at Laguna, all out of shape and all over the place. I think Nori had a bad start (honestly if I'm wrong, forgive me, 1. I was probably well drunk at any point, and 2. all the races from 98-2002 are a blur to me). So from blurred and inebriated memory, the Kentucky Kid race two, was screwed up by stuffing a charging Haga into turn 11. Without BJCing, despite the lowside, got up and finished somewhere near the top ten. Nori, though he had some spirited rides at Laguna was inconsistent as hell.

Are you insinuating that Nicky let Edwards have a podium in race one compa? No way man, hell no.

Btw, that reminds me. Do you remember Corser 'whining ' (oh ...., really?) about Nitro Nori? Think it was 98/99 (one of those two years, 98 was my first attending Wsbk). Haga buzzed him going up to the Corkscrew, Corser was pissed about it. Called Nori a dangerous dirty rider etc. Vowed to get him back.

Ruben Xaus, hahaha .... that guy was a vaudeville comedy show. If I recall, seeing him crash during practice like the track marshmallows were handing out candy. Nonetheless, he eventually podiumed (i think, or was that Hodgson). Speaking of candy, BBoz got his ... handed to him by EBoz. On a 600 or other I think. ZX7 was it. Led for a while, keeping up with the Wsbk regulars on a Kwaker glorified AMA spec Supersport bike. (Don't tell Oost I typed this).

Edit: here u go, found this.

No - you've completely misconstrued what I meant. Re-read it Comps, I was referring to his dive under Nori - was it the Andretti hairpin from memory?, with lamentable results, not his race results - (although the upshot was a DNF for both).

Xuas crashed twice in the warm up lap of race 2!!

BBoz lost the front during Superpole down Rainey's as I recall. Purportedly hit a tear off.

Nicky's 'Emmett moment' - (and you'll need to BJ.C this because I can't remember the year) - was at Sachsenring, perhaps '03 or '04? when he went to wheelie to celebrate third and Capirossi did him on the line. It happened to me only last week - playing as Lowes at COTA on MotoGP15...Folger came steaming past and stole my glory. Nothing worse than a pixellated German with AI.

Oh nickys first times are in! Just 1.8s behind rea. Which is amazing since rea was like 7 tenths slower than Lorenzo in his first fp1. And rea got a hot wife and can speak English and only had to learn the very user friendly bridgestones. You know, the one that wouldn't just give unpredictably like the current. ...never mind.

Step your ... up nick, zis iz unacceptable
