I would recommend learning a bit about Japanese work and business etiquette before talking about this.

I have spent 12 years working with the Japanese and 3 years living win one. I know what I saw there. Do you?
I hear them japs are into some pretty sick ....,being crapped on and stuff,is that what you're talking about?..

I remember just a couple of years ago when the Honda was getting out dragged by everybody, especially at this track. Just shows a difference in riders attitude and talent and manufacturers attitudes.

The woman doesn't understand why I've been up since 0430 watching the MotoGP feed.

I asked her to leave.

When I saw this news , I knew for sure that there will be little ....... here that will claim this is Rossi doing something behind the scenes.

Here are the facts: Vinales has been way more vocal than Rossi about Yamaha’s fuckups. So much that Yamaha has to silence him more than once (Not counting his split with his crew chief).

Rossi has been pretty tame in his public feedback, he hoped they will bring an update for the Brno rest which they didn’t. He was still rather diplomatic about it.

Yamaha already admitted they screwed up, during the technical heads media brief (which I guarantee the mouthbreathers here didn’t watch ). If you know anything about Japanese culture and business etiquette, which I am sure most of you don’t, there’s a lot to pick up from the choice of words and body language.

This is just a continuation of the same. This is a factory that knows that they are letting two very fast riders down and vows to fix it.

I expect the 2019 M1 to be a firebreathing dragon.
The guy they really miss is Furusawa, imo, and I don’t think he is coming back.

So they are going to make an engineer figuratively commit seppuku rather than Jarvis ?, who is not a competent manager, again imo.

It’s not a team management problem, it’s a technical problem.
Why would Jarvis take the blame for it? Besides, Jarvis is in charge of all of Yamaha Motorsport and is doing a great job in WSBK and recently in the Suzuka 8 hours. It’s Meregali who is in charge of the MotoGP team.

Blind hatred clouds facts. I know.

What, no sense of humour? 12 Years, working and living with some Japanese folk.... Wow, I’m impressed.

I've actually been making use of my video pass and have been watching some early 90's 500cc stuff and .... me todays lot don't half whinge compared to those boys. Rainey wrestling with an out of control YZR and afterwards has a smile on his face stood on the podium after finishing 20 seconds behind the front 2 and thanking his team in the interview. None of this "mya crewachief isa as ayou say a .... and a Yamahaha isa ...."

Because Jarvis didn’t retain the guy who won their last 3 championships and who also seems to be rather good at leading development insofar as gp riders can do so these days and left the team with lesser lead riders, one of whom is obviously not as good as Jorge and the other while undoubtedly an all-time great rider is pushing 40, and along the way also mislaid the Yamaha satellite team.

My supposition all along has been that they are lining Valentino up to manage the factory Yamaha team, which would be handy from more than one point of view, I think there is a strong chance he would be good at it, and he would bring sponsorship, and one deduction which could be drawn is that the Yamaha gp effort is cash strapped. If Yamaha dwindle into mediocrity Rossi might not want to manage their team anyway.

I thought Uccio was in charge of the motogp team?.. he certainly seemed to be the only one talking that time the world champion dropped by..

We have already discussed and disproved the fallacy that championship leading riders are responsible for bike development. Take Pirro out of Ducati Corse and replace him with a lesser rider and see how impressive the race bike becomes.

If Jarvis is to be fired for losing George, let’s get Gigi’s head on a platter too, shall we?

And once again, unless Rossi wants to manage all of Yamaha’s Motorsport activities, he will be taking over from Meregali, not Jarvis.

Isn’t it almost time for you to disappear again, lest the grand sultan of Londonistan sends his Jihadis after you?

Sure, decisions concerning Valentino are made at Meregali's level. And if you want to make Meregali the responsible party for the Yamaha factory team, then how is he responsible for Yamaha still not having a satellite team next year afaik as we speak?.

Gigi who has constantly improved things at Ducati wanted to keep Jorge, and I rather expect Yamaha, with 17 titles, to be more competent as a GP bike racing operation than Ducati, with their one title and history of rider mismanagement.

Have you been living under a rock?
Yamaha has a satellite team and two riders for next year, with a team that has a lot more money behind them than Tech .....

I must have missed the official announcement, and the announcement of Lorenzo, Zarco, or even Pedrosa as being among the team's riders. And if it is this late, it hardly leaves time for adequate preparation for the 2019, particularly given you have just been informing us of Yamaha being completely off track engineering-wise, and whoever runs it is unlikely to be as good as Tech trois, given they have been the best satellite team for a number of years.

Stop shifting the goalpost.

It was announced more than a month ago. Aspar will be the team principal and key members of the Angel Nieto team will be involved and they are more than adequately prepared. Jarvis revealed today than Morbidelli and Quartararo have been signed as well.

They will do better than Tech .... who will be struggling for P15 next year. At least they’ll have a lot of free Red Bull to drink!
