Estoril RACE Thread

Clearly Kallio messed up his bike riding it for three races.

<

what a snorefest

congrats to JL. well done stoner. what the .... happened to rossi. good job for elias.

do you realize that if they wouldve flagged off the race after lets say, lap 1 turn 2, the top 5 wouldve been EXACTLY the same?!

GOD even my DAD started baking his eggs during motogp race. that says it all....
<
Im so disapointed

Fair comment. He certainly cannot have harmed matters, and was fast in practice and the first part of the race. My understanding, perhaps erroneous, was that hayden had been leading development.

Don't panic, I hear he will be posting all his fans a personal apology ...... as that seem the current "want" of the Rossifans

I know nothing about Ducati development
<

Yeah he was reasonably fast this weekend but unfortunately doesn't settle for anything and pushed too much...

It's already 3 races that Lorenzo is absolutely flawless... no mistakes, nothing. Now, he even starts fast
<

Great Stoner, he's back!
<
And even shows the grit to win an early scrap with Rossi. I had placed a bet on his win today, patience, the win may come at Phillip Island
<

Great Pedrobot, who sticks to his third place and clocks very fast lap times.

Suffering Rossi, who clearly had some tyre problems, or a setup problem that prevented the tyre to work at best... I was expecting Vale to podium, but even the usual victim Pedrosa was too fast for him today.
<

Estoril needs a very clean, round, 250-like approach. Lorenzo would have won anyway today, he's the supremo of the corner speed style in MotoGP.

A very boring race, but now the title race is exciting again.

If (Only if) Rossi decides to take a leave in an ongoing Championship… I would definitely expect an apology from him!

Note: Even with 164 race starts out of a 164 possible ones!

They told everybody except rossi that the race was on the moon today and that overtaking was banned because you risked floating away into outer space!

processional race but big impact on the championship.
<

flawless & dominating ride by lorenzo with stoner coming back real strong & showin he's lost nothing... ashame he missed the 3 previous races he could have easy been in the championship... oh well. solid ride by pedrosa aaaaaaand..... rossi gets spanked!!!
<
<

on to philip island!

Even the ‘Man on the Moon’ walked like it on the Podium! Wonder if the cute pretty girls had lead boots not to fly into a moon’s orbit?

Out of interest. What odds did you get on that bet ?

Dani always gets a great start, he just cant handle the bike in the curves with cold tyres and a full fuel load. Lorenzo just made to easy work of him.

Faultless ride by jorge

Good respectable comeback by casey, broken foot peg probably hampered him a bit

Rossi never really had the pace here all weekend. 4th is ok, best just to finish as high as possible and save an engine.

Good ride by colin and Toni "please give me a job" Elias
Not so good for hayden, lucky mika binned it, that saved a bit of pride for haystack.

This was the single race that lorenzo won last year, when rossi mostly gapped him, but I guess various vicissitudes (mainly monumental high sides) even if they were of his own creation did affect george's year subsequently.

Reminded me of Valencia last year. Big gaps between riders. A bit dull as far as racing goes.
But you have to hand it to Jorge, he was awesome today.
Philip Island in 2 weeks.
Rossi, Stoner, & Jorge are all fast there. Nicky too usually.
Hopefully the gaps will be a little closer.
