then why mention it if stoner didn't ?
so it's the clutch now

If you want to go on in your own little fantasy "Rossi" world then good for you. Stoner said he was having clutch problems and I believe him. When Rossi said he was having tyre problems I believed him. The point is Stoner will wrap up the title in the next 2 races and Rossi won't! Cheers!

eh, after all the crap us rossi fans have had to endure by some stoner fanboys, i think where entitled to a little gloat.
not mentioning names, but some on here were very fast to dispel any reasons for a poor performance as whinging buy rossi, what goes around comes around ...cheers

Great Race

definatly the second best race of the season after Barcelona.

Shame nickys Qual pace couldnt see him to the end up front.

cant wait til Sun now at Motegi

He was whinging Rog, you can't deny that.
<

but so did Stoner when Elias followed him round etc etc.

Anyway, fabulous race, did not disappoint after last years, excellent close finish, I had been lookig forward to this one. Really edge of your seat stuff. Fantastic battles which included all of the top 4 at one stage, was a bit wierd not seeing a Suzuki up there battling, but hey ho.

Cool stuff from Rossi, showing he's still got it and for that i' am glad.

Not bad from Hayden today. Unfortunately Hayden was stuck miles back with everybody else.

Nicky probably was upset. If you watch his interview on MotoGP he reveals he was running a new tire setup and that he didn't like it during testing. He said at Misano they had it sorted before DePuniet sent him into the gravel, but it doesn't appear the settings were of any use to him today.

Great race from Pedro. He still can't win a battle but he was 12 seconds faster than Nicky today and he made a race of it.

OMG, DePuniet didn't finish?
<
Good luck LCR. With how much RDP wrecks they'd do better to breach contract now and pay damages
<

Wow, what they hell happened to Vermeulen. All this fanboy blabbering is putting the jinx on him.

Let's all give a huge hug on Rog, he is crying of emotion!
<

Now, all Stoner needs is to finish Motegi in front of Rossi and then, it will come to his hands!
<

Bridgestones struggled in this track, CV, Melandri and Hopkins got missed. Only Stoner could keep ahead, but not fighting.

Roge...enjoy!!!..

...great race by Val, pity that Casey could not catch them at the front though as it would have been a great race!!! We have no excuses
<
...even though Casey had clutch problems, had cramps in his calf prior to the start of warm up and the race, this was outlined by his father on an interview on our local tv channel. The tyres were not an issue as Casey didn’t say anything about the tyres!!!

btw: See you all at Motegi 29th Sep and you know who's home track that is!!!

Congrats to Rossi and to Rog!
<
Gloat your ... off mate!! Rossi and Pedrosa were excellent. Anyone get the tyre selections for those two? Were they on the same
compounds?

I said after Brno last year that Dani wasn't yet good enough to battle with Rossi. He's getting much more aggressive for sure but still not quite as tough in close combat as the doc, but for sure, more of that please as someone else posted!
Stoner just didn't have whatever it took to run the same pace as the two guys in front and seemed to be working extra hard to maintain the pace he did. Mamola hit it on the head when he said the Ducati just didn't look as settled as it normally does, sort of Mugello syndrome, something about the bike's setting looked not quite right. .... happens although to his credit, where was anyone else on Bridgestones?
What about Dunlop? I know the two tech3 guys dnf'd but what a great day for for those guys, I wonder what tyres JT will be on next year or is Michelin already confirmed???? Surely Dunlop will be racing next year but with who?

But the day was Rossi's, and we all got treated to a peach of a race and he really deserved that win. He's great to watch when he's diggin' in like that. The Yam is plenty quick, as is the Honda. Michelin are just about there, Rossi's tactic has worked, Michelin and Yamaha have responded and the package is now much better than 2 races ago. With all the reg changes, 800cc, tyre restrictions and 21 litre fuel limit seen by some as too many changes at the same time, and in spite of the cries that the changes have made racing boring, it seems that things are evening out. As they always do eventually. The rules seem very fair to me now. It's all good.

Congratulations Rog, you and the sore Rossi deserved this win!
<

It's really good to see Rossi and Pedrosa on top again!

For sure, watch Stoner dispense everyone and runs alone is a lot boring, I confess.

I was cheering a lot for Pedrosa, he deserves another win. He is one of couple of riders that works hard to increase results without blaming the tyres, the bike, the track or anything else.

Today, Pedrosa was the name of the race for me!
<

Alongside Rossi and Stoner, for sure, top 3 was fantastic!

I was missing Barcelona, a race that I could have fallen of chair.

Oh, my english is a disaster.
<
<

Great race. Stoner is a great rider, but nothing comes close to Rossi when he is in a good day.... the way he passed Pedrosa under breaking on the front wheel… work of genius

as vale said it was a great great race

now that honda, yamaha and michilen have got their finger out... its looking like we will have a great end to the season

casey didnt blame his tyres... he had a problem with his clutch

<
<
KUDOS TO VALE....
<
<

very exciting race, finally we got another race thi season that is not boring as hell. ;P
but all three races were brill today, the commentators had a tough job to do.
<

Fantastic race today, made even better by Vale winning!

Good race for Pedrosa, not often he mixes it up with Rossi, nice to see that there is more to him than winning from the front.

Felt sorry for Nicky, really wanted him to get past Casey, but to be honest, looking back to the beginning of the season, the guy has come a long way to be hitting the pointy end again.

What can I say about Casey, rode a good race, didnt (or couldn't) get caught up in the fight for the lead or do anything silly. A pretty good day at the office for him.

Pete

its good to see michelin gettin to grips with things lol "get it gettin to grips hehehee" soz bout that lil outburst.

i dont know if it was me but towards the end the michelins looked a bit slippy, even tho the rubber was obviously good today they dont seem to hang in there like the stones do?

one other thing id like is the rider to able to have a bit more control over the bike, before the traction control kicks in.
the reason for this is i remember watching melandri at phillip island on the last corner to take the win, dam that powerslide i think i jumped so high out of the chair i hit my head on the ceiling, whilst almost pissing myself in the process lolololol

Nah, barcelona was

But, a fantastique race! (RIP Colin McRae, good on rossi with his dedication)

hats off to all top 3 riders, again they were the only ones to make the most of their package. Its good to see Dani being aggressive, i thought he was gonna take this one but Rossi pulled it off. Shame for Tamada, he was 6th when he crashed. hopefuly it will be like this till the end of the season regardles of who wins the title. can anyone post the results from all 3 races today and the standings as well after the races. Thnx
