Australia is a country full of money but devoid of sponsors. Road racing here is proddie SBK and that's it. As soon as you turn away from the factory for a chassis forget it. Personally I think KTM would make a motza selling a basic 250cc 4 banger GP junior (they probably already do).

When we have had the "make it the same all over the place" conversations (debates? - they tend to be congenial) the solutions always sound good for the sport.

But what would a bunch of aging ....... and cripples know anyway?

As an aging ......, all I can say is that the Came bike was going to be more expensive than a KTM. For an unreliable bucket. The Honda is relatively cheap compared to both. But .... 4 strokes. A 125 with a top end costing $200? (pistons are getting exe) and 30 min to change? versus a blatty 4 stroke that is a prick to even bump start?

Not so much of the cripple, blue boy. I walk like that because I'm heavy down below ;)

Pol aint worthy of the yam seat unless he get's his competitors out of his head.

They are fcuking with him and his head.

At best give him Bradl's seat on results so far.

Soz Cliche it's how I see it ;)

Whenever I see the word Phuket, it comes up in my mind as '.... It'.  Basically, that's what people do there right?

Smoke weed, get some sun, drink too much, and try and get off with the lady boys... yeah, you got it ;)

I totally LOVE little jewel-like Jap bikes. If I had the money I'd collect all of them; especially the two strokes. Too cool.

Had my fair share of T's, GT's, RD's, RG's, RZ's, TZR's, TDM's... they are great. Always wanted a KR-1, but was (wisely) steered away by more knowledgeable friends. Never had an NSR. I never felt the need for three cylinders, but they did look the business ;)

If it wasn't for the price of gas these days, I would like another 500cc 4cy 2T.

My last Jap Middleweight was this:

2nd season only and it's just begun.look how much cal improved fpor his 3rd year after being ..... in his first.

Don't matter though, yam need new blood . wouldn't be surprised if rossi ...... off to sbk duc in 15 " to make it right" and pol was parked at tech3 until then. One can only hope for cal to land at duc instead of zook, at least they are really trying

Difference been Cal's first year was on an 800, a bike he openly admitted did not suit his style.

The switch to 1000's was when Cal expected to and started to build results.

It will be interesting to see how their results compare at the end of the season.

Cal's 1st year on the 1000 to this one of Bradl's ;)

Come on bro that's talpa logic at it's best.

Bradl knows more tracks that's for sure but an additional year is an additional year. In no way was my comment meant to belittle mr straight as a dollar bill , just meant to illustrate that the old 500cc saying probably is still true. 2-3 years for learning for the non aliens

The reality, Red, is that Bradl's got a contract through next season and I've read that Honda's quite happy with his progress. Cal, on the other hand, is out of contract at the end of the season and made a bunch of noise last summer about deserving a factory Ducati. I won't argue with his results, I've been very surprised with how well he's done. But I have to assume that Yamaha feels Espargaro was able to take the fight to Marquez in Moto2 and look was Marquez is doing now. If you're Yamaha and you have a spare seat, you pretty much have to do all you can to get him into the fold. I'd imagine they're none too pleased with Herve for signing up Bradders, to be honest, which is the cog that'll ultimately force Cal out.

The fact Pol could take the fight to Marky so he should get a ride in mgp is bad thinking, Bradl could take the fight to Marky in moto2 but he has no chance of doing so now.

not necessarily, we all know the best riders from the support classes usually get a motogp ride.  So in that sense pol should get a decent satellite ride for next year.  Now i'm not saying he will go straight to fighting with marc, but pol should be riding similar to  how bradl started in his rookie year.

I don't know,

Compairing Cal last year to Bradl this year gives or should give Bradl the advantage .

It been his second year on the 1000,

And Cal crashed a lot last year, ran out of fuel etc.

If Bradl doesn't get his head round that front end soon it is going to cost him dear.

And I'm not having a go either,

It's just the way I see it ;)

Unfortunately I know this is the voice of reason,

And probably the future too ;)

I'd argue Bradl had a year of Moto2 experience under his belt and one of the few Kalexes in a season when it was realized that the Kalex, and not the Suter, was the chassis to have. But that's beside the point. The point is that Moto2 title protagonists are going to be given serious contention for satellite rides in MotoGP. The most promising will end up on a satellite Honda or Yamaha, as have Bradl and Simoncelli, while only those deemed phenoms will be placed in a factory seat as is the case with Marquez, Lorenzo, and Pedrosa. Espargaro is the sort of rider that's earned serious consideration for a satellite Yam based on his results and his ability to take the fight to Marquez only sweetens the deal.

But you are all missing the point, Pol hasn't won yet!!!!!!!!  Sic,Bradl and Marky all won the title but three races in and he's the next thing.
