His old self would've gotten him 2 championships already if it wasn't for a "doping scandal" that turned out to not being a doping scandal afterall in 2000 and an unreliable Yamaha in 2007.

I've always been impressed with the way Spies conducts himself in the post-race interviews, complimenting his on-track rivals.

I see this as more of a way for Spies to push himself mentally. He said last race at Donington that the second race was harder than the first becasue its hard to mentally concentrate when you are by yourself for a whole race. Ben needs rivals to push him to the limits and the scary thing is he feins off of it.
