I may be over estimating how popular GP is in the UK. I thought it was one of their top markets.
My point is more that I would never rule out a British GP ceasing to exist if Dorna was unable to find anyone willing to pay their asking price. France, the home of grand prix auto racing has been without the F1 French Grand Prix since 2008 as an example. Though I do think Dorna cares a bit more about their fanbase than F1 does. But if Silverstone had zero interest in paying the hosting fee, and Donington Park/Brands Hatch was not up to their standard --nor willing to upgrade and pay the hosting fee-- then there's really no other options there since you now get into the club circuits which don't have the money or facilities to host GP.
