Casey tells Rossi to 'stop whinging'

Head games is all. Rossi is no stranger to them is he now?

He is a stranger to losing them, and i think falling off on the only weekend when his tyres had a significant adbvantage might do his head a bit.

Nice try mate, you gotta start somewhere! As an Australian, I support the Australian rider. That flag at the bottom of ur avatar doesnt look like the Italian flag to me.... Who's the bandwagoner?...

i don't like a rider JUST cause he's winning, nor because of his blood line...

Not that everyone here can ride a motorcycle but for your information Michelin are recalling a large amount of 120/70-17 front pilot sport tyres because of manufacturing defects. I've never heard of a tyre company doing this so clearly Michelin are in trouble off the track as well as on it.
Keep the tyre rules as they are and wait for Michelin to catch up, that's how it should be done.

I've heard of it. Ford had to recall large amounts of the Explorer at the start because of defects in the Firestone tyres.

For many years Valentino has been the absolute master of mind games, in fact IMO this has been his championship winning defining talent. He has belittled and verbally put down his opposition on countless occassions, and this combined with his undoubted talent on a motorcycle has enabled him to engrave his name in the record books.

HOWEVER,....and I've said this before, last year Nicky Hayden and one or two others took away that aura of invincibility, and the showmanship had to play second fiddle to the results, which of course is the all important fact.

Casey has every right to tell Valentino to put up or shut up, how many more excuses are we going to hear for why Valentino isn't winning this year. The reason he isn't winning is because somebody is riding better than him, end of story.

Oh, and on the subject of bandwaggoning, what a pathetic comment to make. The Aussies, and quite a few others including myself, are appreciating the tremendous efforts of Casey Stoner this year, so why should we not applaud him. I recall last year the effects of Rossi worshippers and living in past years meant that anybody on this forum making pro-other rider comments was instantly shot down in a thunder of childish indoor fireworks!!!!

Results speak for themselves. I'm pleased to hear Burgess agrees with the tyre regulations, as his voice is wiser than the lot of us put together.

anyone else notice...

When the head of Michelin died.. thats when the problems started??

from the street tires, to F1 i believe, and Moto GP last year till now...

Rossi hasn't even said anything bad about Casey this year, Casey thinks hes the man talking down to the boy.

If your gonna be doing that at least have a world title of some stature to your name.

For the moment he has 44 points on the best rider of all time and he knows hes got Rossi shook.

Seriously, Rossi gives Stoner all this credit throughout the year, saying what a great rider he is and how well he's riding, and this is how Stoner returns the compliment? I think Stoner should keep his mouth shut from now until the end of the season.

i agree.

who the hell does stoner aka moaner think he is, i bet if the shoe was on the other foot stoner would be the one crying for a rule change.
as i said in another thread, stoner is arrogant and this is just another example

.....every compliment paid to Stoner by Rossi has been followed by a 'but'! It's true!

This year, not only is Casey winning on the circuit, he's also winning the mind games.

At the same point in time last season (after 11 races) Rossi was down by 51 points to Hayden. He came back to lead Hayden by 5 point going into the last race.

Of course Stoner is arrogant! You don't get to the top of any sport without being arrogant to a certain degree! And Stoner wasn't MOANING, he was stating a fact that the tyre rules don't need to be changed, certain tyre companies just need to pull their fingers out!

Roger, you're hatred of Stoner and all things Australian is tinting you're view on the championship! Deal with the fact that Stoner's outclassing Rossi most weeks of the year so far!

You mean opinion

I'm not a Stoner fan, infact I've been cheering Rossi on to beat him this year... but he's leading the championship by 44 points or whatever, he's earned the right to be arrogant. Rossi's been arrogant for the last 6 or seven years, but he's always congratulated others. As far as I can see, Stoner's doing the same.

And in my opinion, the championship isn't over yet. Never count Valentino out.

What mind games is Stoner playing Burky?

By speaking up for himself and keeping a big grin on his face, .......not to mention his corking wife!!!
<

Rossi's complaining, Stoner's retaliating, I love it!

Maybe, Casey accusing Valentino of moaning is a misstep on his part. Casey should have shrugged his shoulders and just got on with it. Valentino moaning about tyres won't make the Ducati go any slower or Casey any worse a rider. Anyway I think Valentino may have a point - maybe more tyres would be a good idea and produce more interesting racing.

hmmm. michelin have been the dominant force in moto gp for how long ?

historically - if the tyres they had at qualifying weren't up to the job - they'd just rustle some up over night - hoy them on Fed-Ex and hey presto - jobs a good-un. perfect tyres at the track for Sunday morning.

the new rules/new bikes have turned things on their head - michelin no longer have the advantage and to top it off they're no longer able to just knock some more up when they haven't 'got it right' - it's all bridgestone riders up at the front and this must be frustrating Rossi also, I would also question Burgess' comment on the situation................. "The tyre rule has not been the main reason for Valentino not winning races this season," he said enigmatically Sure - falling off doesn't help but the bike has been on the pace so if it's not the tyres, what is it ? Are you saying Rossi has lost his mojo Jerry ? Are you saying Casey is just better than Rossi ? Of course it's the tyres - they're falling to bits man.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Casey - he's been flawless BUT if the michelins were up to the job then I think Rossi could put up more of a fight.

i will agree with Jerry on this bit tho.... "I like the rule, it's equal for everyone and think it should stay."

to say the rules are spoiling it for the fans is tosh - it's only spoiling it for the Rossi fans - like me
