<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Roger, I think the key part is 'as far as we're told' which is 100% correct and means that we likely do not know anywhere near the truth in terms of what may or may not have been diagnosed by the doctors.
Nor do I think that we have a right to know or demand to know the cause and/or diagnosis that has been determined thus far (if indeed there has been one) as there must always be confidentiality between doctors and patients. It is very true to say that what of a broken arm type of injury but they are a clearly definied injury which known effects and prognosis and that information would generally be released with the full knowledge of the affected rider.
To me, if Stoner has been diagnosed with an illness and chooses not to release it publically then so be it as that is his right and we (the general populace) would not want our medical records released so the same rules should apply for athletes.
By the way Roger, just using your choice of words as a highlight as they are extremely true as we only know what has been released thus far and given that Ducati say one thing whereas CS himself denies it, means there is much conjecture and some questions as to the motives (of Ducati to make their statement).

I totally agree gaz, it is his right as to whether his illness information is made public or not which is why i used that phrase. Although generally in sports at this level the information leaks out eventually. im sure sponsors will want to know whats going on for contractual purposes i would think.
