Casey Stoner Rumors, Still sick

my information is also 3 races...

better for him to give up the championship 09 and get well for 10!

This sounds all wrong.

Casey has proven that he's willing to race 'till he pukes. (All these guys are hyper-competitive maniacs.) He's 37 points down, but one Rossi DNF could blow the title fight wide open. It can't be much fun riding around sick, but it seem inconceivable that he'd feel the need to toss the season into the dumpster.

I'm really afraid that Casey's doctors have found something serious, something that requires immediate treatment.

Gee, I'm guessing you've not much of a player. Serious tournament chess is surprisingly strenuous.

ducati are ......! the pressure is now squarely on nicks & mikas shoulders for some inspirational perfomances.

Frosty totally agreed, this will prove a big point if all the Ducs are at the back of the grid, this will show that CS is the only one able to master the Ducs performace.

Any one go along with this?

i still think its anxiety/psychological problems and i aint taking the piss.... i dont think he has something bad, life threatening and i dont believe anyone has got into his head either only himself....seriously the dude need to chill out abit, i read a autosprt article and rossi was saying he needs to chill if he dont finish first its a disater.

i think hes got alot on his shoulders ATM prob feels like hes letting ducati down if he dont win... we have seen him ranting and raving in practice... stomping through his garage ive even seen his crew shaking there heads looking at eachother as if to say .... hes off again...

hes said himself in interviews hes fine in the week then come friday it stars

casey gotta stop winding himself up and taking things to hard but that said i dont wanna see him miss races and if he does then i hope he comes back soon @ 100%... motogp looking grim by the month.

i dont know man with the anxiety problem you really feel you are dying and sick to the stomach.... when i had it for 3 months and it got real bad i would even just turn up at the hospital as id covinced myself i was gonna die or some .....

if casey is riding a bike in this state hes nothing short of hardcore... his genral attitude for this type of problem would be the worst kind to be.

maybe they have realised it is anxiety after having tests and finding nothing.... maybe having some counceling over the next few weeks.

but im still sure 100% thats what it is but im not doctor. but he has all the symptoms for it

Great points all around. Except I don't believe there is anything seriously wrong with him. Moto riders ride through tremendously bad injuries. This doesn't seem right. I wouldn't doubt we don't see him again this year. I see nascar in his near future.

Another great point. Somebody get cs a slip n slide or something. Maybe he can go hang out in the kiddy pool at disneyland for a couple months.

That (Casey the only rider capable to master Ducati) is the currently established common wisdom. Rather, the surprise would be if now in this new situation Nicky/Kallio suddenly found more performance... Hmmm... We'll see.

Psychosomatic

Main Entry: psy·cho·so·mat·ic
Pronunciation: \-sə-ˈma-tik\
Function: adjective

of, relating to, involving, or concerned with bodily symptoms caused by mental or emotional disturbance

Been saying it since June, he should have taken a rest after Catalunya it was no way to be riding a motorcycle. Interestingly I read on ye olde teletext that he has been diagnosed with an inflamed stomach lining. A combination of words I haven't seen anywhere else as a diagnosis.

I think Ja4no's thread cursed him

I think Stacey has a rare illness called "exchampitus". It is bought on by lack of podiums, and fear of Yamaha's.

Well thats the end of seeing Mr Stoner this year! He going to be back in Portugal which is the 4th of October. That is an awful long time off! I think it is something a little more serious than Ducati are letting on and i think if he is still "ill" by the time Portugal comes then he will not come back to MotoGP until '10. I can't imagine Ducati letting him off that long if it was just mental problems. One race maybe but 3 seeing as they just had their summer break, hmm. Hope he is okay though

+1

I'm just not buying the "mystery illness" line they are trying to feed us. It seems that Casey simply doesn't know how to handle the pressure of no longer being able to win races without any effort.

If I had to pick the weakest personality in MotoGP, Casey would be it.
